When you try to see if you can get Crosby, Hendrickson and Williams....but the other team says no or wants too much in return. At least they are actually trying for once.
In the last few years they would not even bother calling a team about some top end players or the agents of good FAs.

Now all of that still does not get good players on the team at the end of the day.

But at the same time I would not want them to be giving up picks for sub par players like we have done with Mingo and Milton. Pickens seems to be the exception.

So don't waste picks on the likes of mingo and Milton. If you are going to use picks, make sure it is a top end player.

Consensus is that there is no midseason personnel fix for the defense . Simplifying the scheme and letting our CBs do what they do best (playing man coverage) and blitzing more often would help a lot. I think the most impactful thing we can do at this point is fire Eberflus.

New England just traded 2 guys....2 former starters...and literally got nothing for them. There are deals to be made.....It's our front offices inability to make it happen.



Kyle Dugger would have walked in here and been our best safety in 10 years......for a 6th....and we got back a 7th.

Yep. That’s what I meant about accountability. EBER is ultimately in charge of the packages, game plan and calls. If our players are routinely out of position, or not playing to their strengths.. that’s on him. A couple of LBs and another DT would help too.

and there's the question that must be asked... they need to know who is running the defensive show before committing resources to fix the defense. If they're sticking with Eberflus then they can go after the players he wants now, if not, then they have to wait.

I haven’t worn Cowboys gear since my early teens. Jerry hasn’t gotten a dime from me other than concerts and a handful of games since he’s owned the team. Not because it’s Jerry but because sports gear isn’t my thing and live games at AT&T blow.
