Although I doubt that Dallas is interested especially if the Dolphins are wanting nothing less than a 1st round pick, it could be interesting this week. With Quinn due back on Monday, Dallas will most likely have to move a DL guy so if a trade is going down it probably will be for Taco. Supposedly Dallas is looking for at least a 5th round for Taco which is rumored although I believe that probably want a second but would settle for a third.
In Fitzpatrick, most thought he would be a candidate as a Pro Bowler at FS coming out of college or a great slot corner mainly as his arm length is good not great but is a great cover guy and extremely good tackler. Now if Dallas wants him, it probably is because both Brown and Jones are free agents at the end of the season and Lewis will be in his final year next year. Just me, but I see Dallas eventually signing Jones long term but that is my opinion. Since you would control Fitzpatrick for 4 more years including 2019 it would make sense to do the deal if you could convince Miami to take Taco, Lewis and a 2019 3rd for him and most importantly if Coach Richard wants him. Then if you lock up Jones, your secondary is great for the foreseeable future along with your LB and DL. With the OL locked up and most likely QB and WR soon along with RB pretty obvious that the draft is going to be best player available regards of position (which it should be but often is best available at a position of need) and could be looking at the #1 TE in the draft.
Oh, what dreams are made of!!!
