depends on who makes the offer
spots 43-52 in round 2 I see if maybe we can work out a deal for a extra pick

You mean you'd bluff?

Question, if we tender him for a 2nd would you take it?

Nope. Draft is too much of a crap shoot to let a guy go unless the contract is unreasonable.

If the team is going to tender a 2nd, might as well pony up that extra and go for a 1st.

Wonder where they got this info from. Sounds a bit like tampering.

I don't think its tampering for a reporter to speculate.

spots 53-64 forget it, I match it

Miami has the Skins pick in round 2 which is the 45 so.......
Good answer. If we were to do something like that I would target a guy like Hakeem Nicks with the aerly 2nd and Brace with the late 2nd.

He isn't going anywhere. I don't get those who are in panic over this.

Of course he isn't going anywhere.

Everybody and his mother knows Austin isn't leaving Dallas. He will get the 1st round tender and that will be the end of it.

I don't think teams will offer us a 1st for Austin thats a lil high IMO.

Hoof has all the answera. You better start paying attention. The guy could turn the Chiefs and the Raiders around in a season if he wanted to.

FROM HIS COUCH if that was needed.

He's that good. ;)

Why let a young reciever go, to just draft another young reciever who could be a bust? doesn't make sense. I do like Nicks though ;)

I can't see him leaving either. However, I would let him go for a 2nd round pick. I like Austin but I don't feel that a 4th WR slash KR has the value of a 2nd round pick.

I think Austin is sick..I wouldnt let him go unless its a first rounder(which wont happen). He can stretch the field and can play along side Roy. Maybe if a team 32-35 wants to give up a 2nd so we could grab Sean Smith AND Matthews, but I think Austin has to much promise.

Exactly..the decision is pending on what they do with EL DORADO. I'd keep Miles any way. I love the kid! No drama and just does his job.

I think Austin will be a #2 receiver in this league never a #1. Hakeem Nicks however has #1 written all over him.

Another way we could look at it is if we get a early 2nd and then draft your boy Sean Smith.

Let us do all the grooming because he was so raw, Parcells words, and then they come and get him 3 yrs later when he's about to come into his own????

Fageddahaboutit!

If Miles and get over the "gee golly it's great to be here" thing he's going to be a freakin stud IMO!

This is my thinking also. He has alot of potential but there's alot we can do with 2 2nd rd picks and a early 3rd

Sean Smith
Darry Beckwith
Ron Brace

Hakeem Nicks
Rashard Johnson
Ron Brace

Louis Delmas
Duke Robinson
Ron Brace

Lots of possibilities.

So we've already devoted our #1 and #3 pick this year to the WR position, and now people want to devote another #2?

Wow, Matt Millen would be proud.

Besides, all that draft pick is going to do is waste away behind TO and Roy Williams because the Cowboys brass don't have the sack to go with a young and unproven guy, just like Austin.
