Oh, good Lord. Stand poliltely and think whatever you want. But don't make the anthem about yourself.

Bottom line, Kaepernick has been benched, and he's about to be out of the league and forgotten. So, he's decided to go Michael Sam on us for attention.

And he donated a million dollars for attention? And all of the charity work he's done is for attention? What do we get out of telling others what their intentions are? He's a 4.0 student who has put his money and time where his mouth is. Who are we to say he's doing it for himself, rather than the cause he says he is?

Were the protesters who contributed to making America the historically unique and amazing place it is today - making things about themselves? Or do we only accuse people of that when we don't agree with their stance?

and there's one of the reasons players are kneeling. The constant "there are no problems over here"

There aren't.

Don't point guns at cops, and do what they say. You'll be fine. Why is it all these folks getting shot have a rap sheet? Coincidence?

This is not the place for this.

To you, from your perspective, maybe. But that's the point.

There is no point. The entire issue is founded on nothing but lies, and it's been proven unequivocally.

Period. End of story.

When you don't stand for the anthem, you're making the entire game about YOU. That organization is your employer. Those players are your teammates. Sunday is about winning a game together, not your social grievances or personal agenda. Play football or quit.

If you want to speak out on your own time, then fine. But when you're at work, you work. Just like the rest of us.
My take: These athletes have the right to do what they're doing, but they're aiming at the wrong target, IMO. They're attempting to draw awareness to the police shootings of black citizens (as though we weren't already aware). Yes, there seems to be a definite injustice with which we all should take issue. So,they say they won't stand for a flag/country that allows that to happen. Well, the last I checked, federal and state governments were two separate entities. The federal government has little to do with the activities of police officers...this is handled at the county/municipality level, for the most part, and the state level, to a lesser degree. So where does sitting on their coddled and spoiled ***** for the raising of the flag and the playing of the National Anthem accomplish anything remotely associated with the issue for which they are protesting? Some of them, including kaepernick, have said they mean no disrespect to those who have served and/or died defending the rights they are exercising. Well, Mr. Kaepernick, guess what? You don't get to choose who you offend when you sit on your coddled and spoiled *** during the National Anthem. I am offended, and nothing you say will change that. Actions, on the other hand, have meaning. The focus of your protest is misdirected, IMO, and I am personally offended. OK, rant over.

You're welcome to your opinion. You're welcome to the opinion that your opinion is fact, even. But at least understand that it's your opinion. Nothing has been proven.

If he's a 4.0 student, then a rodent could pass the Nevada entrance requirements. I've heard 5th graders more intelligible and well-read on the issue. And I'm not kidding.

Ask somebody that went to a real college. There aren't many of them these days. Most require that you can fog a mirror.

I like this post, though I disagree with a portion of it. Let's assume that we all agree that they're misguided, for the sake of conversation. Can't we at least judge them based on their intentions? They're standing up for something they believe in and not hurting anyone in the process. As they've said, their intention wasn't to insult service men and women throughout American history. Why does someone's value or interpretation of a symbol offend you personally?

Michael Brown's hands weren't up. Crutcher had a gun and PCP yesterday. And on and on. Facts don't change. BLM was founded on complete and total lies.

Show me where any of this has been deemed worthy of the death penalty without trial. Do we really want to live in an America where police can kill you without a trial? Sure, it's PCP now, but it will be whatever they want it to be, eventually. That's how power works.

I have a feeling that you don't know much about BLM. I don't think they're the best organized group, but they're about a lot more than a few cases of officer conflict.

You need to catch up. He had two previous convictions on gun charges. He was backing up to his car. He was reaching in. She made a judgment call that would have been unnecessary if he just cooperated. And he was on PCP.

Indefensible.

No, they're not. They're the most racist organization in America today.
