What will happen with Stewart if Capers takes DC? Will he be demoted? Quit? Fired?

Probably he would resign although I'm sure he would be given the chance to stay on if he wished...

I would imagine he would be fired.

I'm George Dunham, and I say this is bullcrap.
Psst...you're supposed to PM me that it's bullcrap and I relay it to the board as 3rd hand information. Then everyone feels better.

You know, I've been meaning to start a thread on this a few days ago.

I really don't care who is doing the hiring. Whether it's JJ, Wade, or a combination of the two after consulting each other (which is my guess).

All I care about is getting the best coaches possible to coach the Cowboys this coming season.

And if JJ is willing to spend $3mm/season on Garrett, $1mm/season on Houck, etc., I'm glad he's not being stingy.

And I really think if Wade had serious problems with any of these hires (i.e., they were unqualified, he couldn't work with them) he'd be man enough to speak up. This entire "whimp" thing that people are inferring with respect to Wade is bogus, IMO.

I could easily just switch a few names and this would sound like the average Extremeskins post.

I agree. I wonder what capacity he would serve if he did stay.

Hmmmm if he coaches special team then possibly Bobby Carpenter would have a role on the team!

Look, you don't know what's going behind the scenes at VR. Neither do I. And I seriously don't think M Mosley and the others do either.

I don't have a problem with Houck or Garrett or the other hires. I doubt Jerry does, and I doubt Wade does. Maybe Wade didn't get exactly who he wanted for each position.

I don't know. And you don't either.

But the coaches we've hired seem at least as well qualified as those that BP raided. IMO, they may be even better qualified.

And the final decision, by the way, is JJ's. He's the GM.

Guys....my sister dated George Dunham's best friend in high school, and they keep in touch even today. So, the other day she tells me "hiring Dom Capers is totally Wade's idea, man"....and I'm all like "No wai! srsly? Sounds like a Jerry move, to me"....and she's like "Totally cereally....George Dunham told his BFF in the hot tub." So take it for what it's worth fellas. I could care less if you believe me or not. I have connections like that, you wish you had my connections. I once had Sherman Williams over for dinner.

Fixed it already...

Now the other thing is KTCK is speculating that Phillips has no hand in this...

People that have played for Wade says he is laid back, but firm with players and coaches...

Maybe, just maybe this is a Wade decision. We know Wade wasn't happy overall with the defense this year and maybe he realizes Stewart is in over his head...

:starspin I was wondering the same thing in terms of Phillips realilzing that Stewart may be in over his head. Personally, I hope we bring Capers in anyway, perhaps he can, and will...do more on defense with what we have than Stewart did.

I don't see Phillips releasing him. I think he would be unhappily demoted. Stewart may be a guy on the rise, but he may not have been ready for the position.

George Dunham is on the Cowboys payroll as the stadium announcer, knows multiple employees inside the Ranch, works for the Cowboys flagship radio station and has Jerry Jones on his radio show weekly ... yeah, he must really hate Jerry Jones. I'm sure he's so desperate to make Jerry look as bad as possible that he's willing to just make stuff up.

You guys are so fervent and frothing at the mouth to defend Jerry at any and all costs that you lose common sense.

I would have to agree with WG on this one......in hindsight, Stewart did not make the right defensive calls at the right time (blitz packages etc.) and our team got out of football shape in Dec......they did not stay motivated and the is a direct reflection on the DC! :bang2:

Big deal. I got a jar of olives stuffed with jalapenos in my refirgerator.

It is about as relevant.

Off topic...does anyone know how to make the ~ actually go over the n?

Just FYI, Wade called the defensive plays. Stew may not have had the right expertise when preparing game plans, etc.
