Every year a different team tries to claim the title "America's Team"....they're really only the flavor of the month. There is only one America's Team. Even when we go 17 years without a Super Bowl victory, we're still the team others want to be.
Let them be angry.I don't live in Texas & I travel for a living.
I find a lot of haters that will bring up the "America's Team" thing as a reason to hate the Cowboys.
It's arrogant to them particularly in light of them having no SB's in many years.
They don't care where it came from. It's just viewed as those arrogant Cowboys & their fans!
I was going to say, some might be people commenting how they are happy we are losing etcNotariety is not necessarily popularity. The Cowboys are the most polarizing team in the NFL. Many of those searches are from non-fans.

What's frustrating about fans/teams claiming to be "America's Team" is that I'm not sure they understand the origins of it.

Jerry should just rename the "Dallas Cowboys" to "America's Team" just to spite everyone that hates them!
Haters gonna hate! Wear it with pride.
Or, and don't take this wrong, but it could be perverts wanting to look at the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
There is truth to this. You can't search for "dallas cowboys cheerleaders" without typing "dallas cowboys."
This image shows the popularity trending on Google for NFC East teams over the last few years.

Kahuna, there is a simple explanation for this chart.
It is the disparity of those who are Cowboy fans that are literate versus the illiteracy of the other team's fans.
Cowboys aren't in the top 6 in NFL merchandise sales according to this article:

The Giants and Commanders both have higher sales.
