lol that's fabulous...even at our lowest points we're almost even if not higher than the rest of them.

not America's team my butt

Interesting, though since "Commander" is a term that is never used in polite society, football fans don't need to include "Washington" in their Google searches. If you compare "Commanders" to "Dallas Cowboys" the trends are closer. Similarly, "cowboys nfl" beats "eagles nfl," "Commanders nfl," and "giants nfl," but not by nearly as much as the OP graphic.

You can always break down searches to partial keywords, strings, terms, etc., but the most consistent and accurate comparison is when each item is using the same format and structure.

Not every "Commander" or "Commanders" search is for the Washington Commanders just like not every "cowboy" or "cowboys" search is for the Dallas Cowboys. In fact, I would highly expect recent "Commander" searches to be surging due to people looking up the history on the word as a result of the media's coverage of the push to have the Commanders renamed. However, the Washington Commanders are not the target of those lookups, but rather the cause of it.

haha its funny the only time we get beat is when another team is in the super bowl

also sad because imagine the spike if we ever made it.

good post Reality

i dont think anyone doubts the popularity of the dallas cowboys, we just question its recent record, lack of success, and bemoan how much more popular it would be if we actualy won anything

I didn't notice those intersections, but, yeah, that is pretty funny.

Notariety is not necessarily popularity. The Cowboys are the most polarizing team in the NFL. Many of those searches are from non-fans.

It's the second most valuable sports team on earth, and regularly is in the top 5-10 in jersey sales (yearly), how much more popular can you get?

I would definitely need to see facts to back up the jersey sells claim.

Then again, I wasn't claiming the Cowboys weren't popular, simply pointing out that using the original graphic to argue that point is very skewed.
