Im sorry but I dont see why they keep saying Doug Free is the next guy were banking on at LT.

I liked Free at RT but he didnt come up big at LT when he played the part.

IMO we need to get Gaither or draft a LT in the first round this year. I think LT is a franchise position and I just dont believe Free is our Franchise guy.

So you're willing to judge Free's performance in ONE game where he was forced to play a position (LT) he hadn't practiced at all season, in the MIDDLE of a playoff game, against Jared Allen, probably the best pass rushing DE in the entire game? Child please! Give him a full offseason as the man, or the front runner to win the position and then we can judge him.

he game planned all week to play RT that week and then at moments call has to go in at LT and go against J.Allen. So tell me is that a easy task, and really he was not that bad in that game. He is being groomed to be Flo's replacement IMO

Free gave up 1 sack all year including that playoff loss. Lets repeat that for emphasis. DOUG FREE ONLY GAVE UP ONE SACK ALL YEAR LONG.

The plays he did give up were because of mental mistakes (read inexperience) and he got better as the year wore on. He didn't get beat because he was overpowered or beaten to a spot pretty much all year long.

Truth of the matter is Doug Free is BETTER than Gaither. Why in the world would we give up a high draft pick AND pay out a huge salary for someone who isnt as good as who we had. Check Gaithers stats regarding sacks given up, QB hits allowed, then check Free's. Get back to me on it.... Free is the better player.

OK, define coming up big.

I guess it isn't holding one of the best pass rushers in the game, Jared Allen, without a sack.

I guess it isn't doing a better job against Allen than the starting left tackle was doing.

Our overall line play was poor against Minnesota, but if you'll analyze the game, Free was not the problem.

Here wher the Ice Machince is at its best! If Free played well v. The Vikes why did Romo have problems with the oline? If Free is the replacement why is Flo still on the roster if he played well in Flos absence? If Free is solid why are we not talking about other linemen to replace?

WHOA!!

Lets try not to get offensive. Its my opinion that Free hasnt done enough to prove he is going to be a stud LT. I never once said Free is a bad player.

God FORBID you say one thing that DOESNT praise a player on this board you get run right out of town.

Unless im ripping Flo, Hamlin, or Roy Williams than anything I say is not valid and deserves a face-palm picture.

Okay where were we before this thread? Oh yeah, lets draft another WR in round one, Roy Willy cant ball.
