IMO the major needs of this team are......

1) D personnel that can help create turnovers.

2) OL that can be groomed to start in 2-3 years.

Then take FA into account.....

Spears, Hatcher, Austin..........

Who's worth keeping........

Who do you have to have to replace in draft.

If we let Spears walk I'm looking at DE and FS that learns behind Hamlin for a year before OL.

I would take an OT in the 1st two rounds, a safety in the 3rd, cb or center in the 4rth, then dl in the 5th...

Flo doesn't have 2-3 years, he may not even finish this year all that well...

Not opposed to taking OT in 2nd round....

If the right guy falls........

I'm just projecting....

Cover safeties usually get picked over by top of 2.

A lot of OL go there as well because some teams (like us) don't like taking OL in one.

Hard to find impact DL later in draft.

But easier to find OL later that can be groomed up for 2-3 years.

Having said all that.....

If the right OT falls to bottom of 2 where we should be picking....

I'm all over it.....

I especially like some of the juniors who have RT size, but good enough feet to play LT......

Gabe Carimi Wisconsin types

Bottom of 2.

Colombo does.......

Most are assuming Free is not in the plans at LT.

Just like Romo at QB, Austin at WR, & Rat at NT

Free is serviceable on the rt, left would be scary....

Very nice.

Pretty much confirms what I thought I saw. He was very difficult to beat to the outside. Even when he looked beat, he was nimble enough to recover and push his opponent wide of the mark.

It wasn't perfect play, but far better than I had hoped going into the game.

They game plan all week going up against a first time starter at RT and he pitches a shut out.

Nice work by Free.

Can't wait to watch his career at LT over the next 8-10 years.

Worst analysis ever.

I have to agree. Pettiti was a fat, weak blob who couldn't move. Free is a great athlete even at this level; he's just a bit skinny and lacking in strength for an NFL offensive lineman. But that can be overcome with strength training and attention to technique.

Bottom line, Free has much more talent and upside than RP ever did.

I was very impressed with Free. I just wish I could hear my comments on the Verizon Wireless Post Game Show about him. Anyone who could help me find a link would be appreciated.

He is athletic enough to deal with speed rushers but a strong bull rusher may eat his lunch. Strahan would have killed him.

I am more worried about his blitz ID and pickup than anything else. You can be sure Ellis is licking his chops.

Great work HToad.

I'd give Free a C+ based on HToad's video.

Thanks toad. Looks like he needed a bit of help and Tony had to scramble away from his side quite a bit.
