Well if we loose JJ at the end of the year I would not mind giving RW a shot in training camp to prove himself. He has low milage and a ton of talent. Granted he has a 10 cent head. But like I said I would let him prove himself furnign training camp.

Then again I would grab Pac-man if the titans cut him. Especially since jerry said this team is built to handle some guys who need extra attention. Pac would definatly solve any corner and Punt return issues we had.

I'd rather we just draft Ray Rice and be done w/ it

yep, on the Rice bandwagon

Good grief some of the people posting in this forum must be smoking way more weed than Ricky.I have watched every Cowboy game for many years which includes every game Julius has played, and for the life of me I don't see how anyone could accuse Julius of mailing it in.In the words of Mike Gundy 'THAT"S NOT TRUE! Are you kidding me?!! That's all I got, makes me wanna puke"  :( :(

I think Julius was just done in by expectations. 'Boys fans just aren't prepared to have just an average to decent back. We've been blessed to have some great ones; so there's nothing wrong with those expectations.

However, there are many more backs in this league who need to be in the right situation to be successful than there are who can excel in any situation. So while I *want* the great back, I'm ok with the two-back approach as long as it's working.
I *want* the great back. Period.

The Patriots have proved you don't need a dominant back to win, but the Patriots have broken a lot of rules. I prefer the old school.

Time will tell with Barber. I honestly view him about the same as I do Julius. He provides something different than Julius and so he has different flaws. He's not a special back, but he can be a very good one in the right situation. Dallas may or may not be the right situation for him. I could see him being gone after a year, too. I could also see him signing a mid-level backup deal to stay.

I think Barber is in his ideal situation right now. He is a perfect #2 guy in a 1-2 punch. If he's smart, he understands that.

My problem with our 1-2 punch is that our #1 punch could be better. A lot better.

Is it critical? Nope. But as we've both agreed I think Julius moves on after the season to look for a better situation, a la his brother, so it will be addressed one way or the other.

didn't 800 come on receptions?

he has 20 games at a position that is one of the easiest, if not the easiest, for college players to transition to in the pros

This is what people fail to realise.

He is a HYBRID. He isn't a running back... He isn't a receiver. Hes a special player that teams can feature and beat you with in many ways.

The guy is a swiss army knife. Not a Machete.

People want the bread and butter. The black and white. Bush is different. There isn't a lot of guys out there like him.

You have to look at the overall impact he has on a team and its obvious when people play New Orleans they target Reggie Bush.

I hate to mess with the chemistry (pardon the pun :)) of the team by signing Woodstock.
