You’re not kidding, Romo is having 2 or 3 defenders in the back field with him and many times he is having to weave and dodge his way around to get the damn ball off. There are many times I can't figure out how the hell he got away from the pressure and made the big throw.

No doubt Romo makes mistakes given the pressure he gets I'm frankly surprised he does not make more. I know many arm chair QB here would never throw an int but the reason defense in football try to bring pressure is to cause mistakes by the offense and QB and god knows Romo sees a lot of pressure

He has been ripped for how he wears his cap, having a so called bad luck girl friend in the stands, playing golf during his off time. Some have been riding him since he took over and will always find something to rip Romo on.

As for post season success or SB well when facing top teams which you will see come playoffs your team better be playing quality football not just the QB.
I think Tony's unmatched ability to escape pressure has made some fans overlook how terrible the O-line truly is. And when the heat is too much for him and he makes a mistake it's easy to blame him instead of the problems up front because he covers up their shortcomings so much. The most visual mistakes will always be from the QB, even though our running game has been a non-factor for years.

Great signing. We really only needed a 2 down player st SSLB so spending a draft pick or big money would've been unwise. However we still managed to get a good player.

I'm glad that this likely means we don't need a LB in the draft.

I was penciling one in around the 4th round.

Although I am kinda disappointed because I had my eye on Keith Pough, who I think will be pretty good. Oh well, more room for a RB or WR

I was thinking that too. Not that this rules out picking a LB at all, but it does leave more room for RB, WR, or even a second S, OL, DL player....assuming value = draft position.

I agree. I don't excuse the mistakes as QB he has to protect the ball and Romo himself has talked about when he tries to do to much it has lead to big mistakes. But of course getting better protection and getting a consistent running game will help him and this team out tremendously.

I'm interested in seeing 53 players get a SB ring not just the 1 and to get those rings this team both sides of the ball have to make it happen not Romo.

Durant was on my fantasy team last year, so I watched him whenever it didn't conflict with a Cowboys game. He was around the ball quite often. From what I saw his play was solid, with only a tackle whiff here and there. I'm glad Dallas signed him.

This is what I saw in his Thanksgiving game vs. Houston.

Was obviously waiting for the Dallas game, but I was watching Detroit/Houston and thinking "This guy's a baller."

Pencil him in as a starter.

I remember watching Detroit on Thanksgiving too and Durant sticking out on that side of the ball. He was all over the place. Very solid tackler from what I remember and extremely active. Brings a load when he arrives too.

This is exactly the type of OLB free agent pickup that I had in mind. Not expensive but a very good athlete and football player.

Very solid addition.

Build a talented offensive line so your QB doesn't have to be Superman every game for you to stand a chance.

Don't feed the trolls. There's a reason they can't talk intelligently about the roster.

How long before we hear Mara has complained to the league about this and wants the league to disallow the signing because the Cowboys didn't have the cap room when the agreement was made? Would that really surprise anyone?

Dallas and former Lions LB Justin Durant agreed to a 2-year contract that will be signed once Cowboys create more cap space, per team source

Hmmmm...Wonder if Lee and Carter are healing ok? I like depth but would think we would be looking for depth in the most depleted areas of the team? Hope he's a good Special Teams player as well?

We have no SAM linebacker yet. This guy is penciled in as a starter, or maybe to compete with Sims and possibly Albright. he had 103 tackles last year, so he can hold his own.
Carter and Lee are in at MIKE and WIL LBs
