For me at first was the Mendenhal -Jones debacle...But really the low point was selecting a TE over a WR and letting the Giants take MArio. That has to be the low point, What was Jerry thinking? a TE? Time to give up that Gm hat Jerry.

I was not disappointed that we did not take a WR (I still think we will make a trade) but I thought Bennet was a reach--overall, an excellent draft.

Manningham is a lazy underachiever.

Only missing out on Hardy, I was desperate for Dallas to pair Hardy with TO. I was pissed about the Mendenhall thing as well but I will wait to see what Felix and the rest of our picks are capable of first before making a judgement on them.

Manningham was available at the end of the 3rd round. Not a bad spot based on the risk-reward.

According to the boards bennett was somewhere around 42 and we got him with the 61 pick. In fact Stephen/Scouts told Jerry to stay in place because they were thinking of moving up a few spots to take him. Then later Stephen jokes with Jerry about how it worked out etc. (someone else posted about it just adding it on here).

I would have like to see us get Limas Sweed in the 2nd or Mario Maningham in the 3rd, but I think I am happy overall about our picks. The exception is the last one. I felt we should have traded back and picked up Josh Barrett and Marcus Monk

The low point was the really silly whinning of Cowboys fans. This was a very productive, and good all around, draft for the Cowboys and yet people are still upset.

I am not, at all, upset that we missed on Mario. He drops passes in the big games (Ohio State), he wasn't nearly as fast as advertised (Apparently from workouts), he lied about being busted for pot, and later had to admit it, and he got like a 6 on a general IQ test showing that he's really not all that smart.

I'll be surprised if he even gets on the field for New York cause he's probably not bright enough to even learn the playbook.

I would have liked to not run out of beer on day 2.

The late start to Day 1 and the early start to Day 2.

The server busy notice surrounding the Dallas picks...However, the chat was running smoothly per usual with people wanting to jump off bridges at the loss of "their" player.

The only problem with your post is that the TE you speak of is a much better player than the WR you speak of. Other than that it makes perfect sense:rolleyes:

For me it was taking Felix at #22 with Mendenhall on the board. Dallas could have taken Jenkins at #22 and still taken Felix at #28. I believe Jerry didn't think Mendenhall and Jenkins would fall that far (nobody did) and didn't know what to do in that situation since he hadn't planned for it.

I didn't like the new format, starting the draft in the afternoon. I also didn't like the 10 minutes between picks. It didn't leave enough time for evaluation and speculation on the upcoming pick.

ESPN did a piss poor job, IMO. Steve Young mostly, and Keyshawn, offered very little to the broadcast. They have too many voices to get to.

I always enjoy Kiper's evaluations, Mortensen's reports, the reporters at each site and guys like Kirk Herbstreit who have seen all these guys play. The main panel needs to be three guys, not five.

Regarding the Cowboys, I didn't like the Jenkins pick. I thought there were talented, more productive corners available (Cason and Flowers) at that spot.

Oh, they could have? So then neither Pittsburgh, or The Titans, who drafted after we did and also took backs, would have taken him?

I was disappointed that Seattle took Red Bryant one pick before us... Though I'm sure I'll love Choice.

I would have prefered trading up for Hardy over waiting on Bennett, that's for sure.

Jeff Fisher of the Titans when interviewed about the Chris Johnson pick alluded to the fact that they were watching Felix Jones.

I know people want to find fault with something but If Jenkins went #22 I dont think Felix would have made it to #28 and vice versa. I think we handled it just right
