Jarrett is a solid pro prospect more on the lines of a Keyshawn Johnson, which isn't a bad thing. Wasn't Keyshawn the first pick of the draft??

You're right, not everyone needs to be a burner. But if I'm taking a guy #22 I want a guy that can be my #1. This guy isn't fast enough IMO to be a #1.

Jarrett was a playmaker when people played off him and gave him room to run his routes, but on several clips Mayock showed plays where the corner got up in his face and Jarrett could not seperate from the corner and his routes were completely disrupted.
I like Jarrett and thought he was a stud in college, but I don't think he will be a game breaker in the pros. I don't think he will be a bust like Williams because he seems to have a better work ethic.
I picture him more like Keyshawn, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Why?
Jarrett produced....big....
Now, Rice, Meachem, and Ginn definitely have more potential and more athletic ability....But they're raw. They're not polished. Rice probably has more polish than Meachem and Ginn because he had two great seasons.
And, I don't see why we can't compare Michael Irvin and Jarrett. Both are bigger receivers that played on powerhouse teams in college. Neither are burners.
We compare players all the time. What's wrong with it?

The odds of the 6'4" 220 lbs. 4.7 guy not being the next Mike Williams/JJ Stokes/David Terrell/Billy McMullen/Reggie Williams/Rod Gardener/Marquis Walker/Ron Johnson are not good. That's his floor. I don't necessarily mind a boom/bust guy with the first pick as long as you think he's got the cabability of being a special palyer. What's his ceiling? I don't see him topping out as anything more than a #2 Keyshawn Johnson possession WR. That's much reward for that much risk.
Bizwah;1440620 said:I don't know....What's the difference between a 4.4 and a 4.6 on the field?
One or two steps?
InmanRoshi;1440677 said:Two steps in the NFL is the difference between covered and wide open.

I have zero man love for Jarret, he played for one of my rivals [New Brunswick] in High School.
I ended up covering him when he lined up wide right.

Now I understand.
