C'mon folks, can we not spot mirrors and mirages?

-Eagles faced Washington twice, once with soon to be out-of-the league Carson Wentz
-They played Jags, Cards, Steelers, and Texans--all offensive train wrecks.
-They played Dallas when we were forced to roll out Rush

That's 7 games on their schedule.
They gave up 33 points to Green Bay (Packers offense isn't good this year)
35 to the Lions

That's 9 ugly or unimpressive games.

They shut down the Vikings--as did we, and the Titans (whatever). Almost lost to the Colts.

WAKE UP, PEOPLE!

Stats and wins are piled up against your opponents. This is a steaming pile of opponents, offensively.

They didn't throttle a single offense - Not one, not one, not one top offense with it's QB intact.

This AND they do not beat themselves, near the top of the league in lowest penalties and turnovers. When you have their talent and play mistake-free ball, the only way to win is to outfight them for 60 mins, NO MISTAKES.
They are amazing at not being called for illegal man downfield. The o-line seems to have invisibility powers.

It’s the real reason why the Eagles are so good. Philadelphia has a complete team. The don’t really have a weakness.
They jumped us in the off season.
We had the opportunity to make a bigger improvement as well but didn't.
Like or loath them, credit where credits due.

Cowboys give up 17.2ppg. The Cowboys vs Eagles game was 17-20 before Cooper Rush his 3rd and final INT. Then they scored on a short field.

This was in Philly, without Dak. I'm not afraid of the Eagles.

That’s not true, Philadelphia scored the final points of the game on a back breaking 75 yard drive off of the kickoff from Dallas making it 17-20. Cooper threw his third pick after all that, when Dallas was already down multiple possessions

  • Points Allowed:
    • Cowboys 3rd
    • Eagles 7th
  • Rushing Yards per Attempt Allowed
    • Cowboys & Eagles tied for 21st.
Our rushing average will get better when we get Tyron back.

I respect the Eagles but in reality if Rush plays a good game then we win that game. Rush played a bad game and we still hung around and was within striking distance in the 4th qtr. I truly believe if Dak plays smart and no TOs then we beat these guys.

...look at their strength of schedule. There's some clues in there.

Agree and I'll try to put some numbers to it. Out of Philly's 12 games, 7 of them have been against offenses in the bottom of the league (#20 or lower in exp points). One of the non bottom games was Cooper Rush starting and they gave up 17 there. In the other 4 they gave up 35, 33, 21 and 7. Only 1 of their remaining games is against these type of teams.

Dallas has played bottom offenses in 3 of their 12 games. Dallas plays 3 of their remaining 5 games against bottom offenses.

ANY team is beatable on ANY given Sunday.

For better or worse, sometimes fans even here forget that.

The Eagles are good, but so are the Cowboys.

What amazes me is the love the Eagles get for beating up bad teams all season but when the Cowboys beat up on bad teams. That's just what it is. Beating up on bad teams. Man the double standard is amazing.

I literally watched the talking heads say that the Cowboys 54-19 win against Indy wasn't as impressive as the Eagles winning by 1 against the same team. For the Eagles it was a "Good team win" for the Cowboys it was "they beat up on a horrible football team with a bad coach"

Its laughable.

I just have this feeling that the Eagles will get beat this Sunday. :)

The Eagles caught up to us. The Cowboys are actually in a better position now then they were last season. Philadelphia caught a break in the schedule and the injury Gods are on their side so far. I still question Hurts and consider him a poor man’s Lamar Jackson. Looking forward to Christmas Eve.

You know what, you're right. My brain glitched.

I'm still not afraid of them tho. :D

It’s a completely different team I expect to see out there.

  • Dak and Shultz missed the game
  • Gallup was still pretty gimped
  • Hankins wasn’t on the roster
  • Clark wasn’t yet cleared to play
  • Joseph and Bland weren’t starters
  • Tyron Smith didn’t play
  • Sam Williams has come on

It’s basically half the team that you’d expect to be different.

Honestly, some of these stats surprise me a bit. In other words, their D is sneaky good, if that makes any sense (lol).

I think you have to also take into account that they have good depth on the D-Line and o line and they rotate players all the time so this team is always going to be fresh even when they make the playoffs they talked about Josh sweat playing only 27% of the snaps last game and Fletcher playing 24%. That's crazy

When you're 11-1 and have the best record, all teams are bad teams by comparison.
