Another sweep? No way!!!

Let him think sweep ...after all what else would you expect him to say. I see a split in the worst case scenario ...and an Eagles sweep in the ideal situation.

Unlike icyhot, allow me to justify what I'm sayimg ...

The Eagles have a very strong DL; their pass rush will definitely pose problems and pressure for Bleedsoe. But I don't want to downplay their strong WR corp. One thing is for sure ...if Bledsoe can't get Off the ball effectiveLy, he'll have to force some plays.

With TO - I think Bledsoe can be. Last year it was Brunell.

NT - FS - and our Oline. That's all I want to see perform decently, while the starters are in.

McNabb has proven to do more with lesser WR's. Although I think T.O. will be successful this year, he won't duplicate the 04 season he had with McNabb. First of all, Parcell's won't open the offense up like Reid, and Bledsoe hasn't shown he's mobile enough to get the ball to T.O. after the line breaks down.

You guys play Seattle so you'll definitely be tested against their first team.

Actually, with lesser receivers, McNabb looks alot like Bledsoe - except he can run.

Keyshawn was thrown more balls last year than TO was in 04. Parcells not opening the offense up is a myth. Parcells will do what works.

I wish more of their starting DL were playing, but yeah, it should be fun to see.

I'm in total agreement Talon. Besides, u and I both know T.O. won't be playin' for one reason or another in December which will neutralize their WR corp somewhat. Plus, that doesn't account for other injuries that will no doubt affect them on offense as well.

As long as our QB doesn't get a phantom tummy-ache to start the year - and then take the coward's way out (again) after losing his team a critical division matchup mid-season.....

I think we'll be ok.

U and I both know you'd take our tummy-aching QB over Bledsoe tomorrow if he were available. Don't fool yourself.

No. I really wouldn't.

And I really can't understand how any Eagles fans can root for that pathetic quitter either.

Because he's taken us to 4 straight division conference finals and 1 Super Bowl. And exactly what has Bledsoe accomplished with the Cowboys? Be honest, Parcell's is beginning to be a little skeptical too. Is that why Homo's starting tonight?

I can unequivocally deny that's the case with me.

How many games has McNabb cost the Eagles in the past few seasons?

Please answer the question.

Think about it, how many big games has your quarterback cost your team?

Nice name-calling of Romo.

The Eagles fan's true colors show up pretty quickly.....

And he's gone down quitting every time. I'm glad you can root for a mediocre quitter. I never would be able to.

In his one year, Bledsoe has played quite well, particularly when his starting OL was in tact. Plus, he never pussed out and quit on his team - a big plus for me. "Homo" is starting tonight because........he's starting tonight. Any attempts at reading something into that are just foolish.

And in case you didn't know, Bledsoe has been in Dallas for exactly 1 season.

How much do you actually expect him to have accomplished?

He was playing better than McNabb until he lost his left tackle......

No doubt about it. The Eagles are still the team to beat in my mind.

I don't know why so many people have such a hard time giving the Eagles credit. Now, I hate your team with a passion, but I can't sit here and say "The eagles are done, they stink, they'll finish last". That would be ridicoulus. You just had one of the best drafts I've ever seen, McNabb is healthy, got a very good O and D line. Everything is still there. You stunk last year, because of injury. Thats it.

I see people on Extremeskins say that the eagles are horrible, and I just laugh. They think they are so damn good, and everyone else in the division stinks. They just aren't being realistic. Bunch of fricken nutjobs over there.

That's an inaccurate statement.

The Eagles were 4-5 at the time of McNabb's season-ending injury and a few of those were "fortunate" victories.

And his was the first of the big injuries they had. The rest followed him.

Everybody was playing better then the injured McNabb last year. But do you really sense Bledsoe has what it takes to take the team far? Why did Buffalo let him go?

Maybe Jerry doesn't want to admit he made a mistake with Bledsoe and that's why Romo hasn't seen any time yet? Honestly, he should have been playing the end of last year.

Nice of you to answer my question regarding McNabb.

Much like Talon, I guess you just ignore what you don't what to see, right?

Bledsoe has enough ability to get a talented Cowboys team to the SUper Bowl.

He showed that last year.

How is a quarterback with a Top 10 season a "mistake"?

Maybe if you knew what you were talking about, your posts would carry some weight.

Stash,

Despite last year, I still think we have a bigger upside. It appears the Cowboys are still trying to figure things out since their last play off win 10 years ago. I do admit you guys have improved and for the record, it wouldn't surprise me if you win the division, but your coach and QB just don't have it anymore.

I'm not saying Bledsoe was a mistake, but when u watch him on Sunday or talk amongst your peers how often do you tell yourself, "I'm soooooo glad we have Drew Bledsoe"!!! The guy just doesn't 'wow' anybody! Quite honestly, I see more potential in Eli Manning.

You're entitled to your opinion, but Super Bowl appearance to 6-10 doesn't scream "upside" to me. The Cowboys came very close to making another appearance last season (1 Point in fact), and they've improved significantly over that team. And it wouldn't surprise me to see the Cowboys win the division either. Parcells is still a better coach than Reid will ever be. He hasn't lost a thing. And again, for "not having it", Bledsoe put up Top 10 numbers.

You did say that Bledsoe was a mistake. And I pointed out that he had a Top 10 season, despite the offensive line struggles. I do tell my peers and fellow fans that Bledsoe is the best QB this team has had since Aikman. Bledsoe doesn't have "potential" at this point, but he still has the ability to do the job. Like the job he did on the Eagles in Game 1.

Ok, maybe I did say mistake.....u got me there. But obviously, a Top 10 season wasn't good enough last year. And to ask him to take the team to another level I think is asking the journeyman too much.

Oh, and the best QB since Aikman? Let's count the # of QB's since then... (ie...Cunningham, Wright, Leaf, Stoerner, Carter, Hutchinson, and Testaverde). Did I miss anyone? So your tellin' me u guys finally got this whole QB thing figured out now? We'll see who the starting QB is in 2 years.

And yes, you guys swept us last year, but that 2nd qame was a loss until McNabb threw that interception. Bledsoe didn't win that game for you guys.

One point from making the playoffs, huh? Oooooooo soooo close!

This division will be won by no more then 1 or 2 games so even though we were 6-10 last year nobody believes, not even you, that we'll do worse.
