That’s fair.

But there’s nothing wrong with admitting our opponent had a better team . And still look to have a better QB and defense. It will just make it more gratifying if we beat them.
I agree with you. It appears to be that way. I'm more afraid of the 49ers. These dudes like Carter and Davis push around a lot of offensive lineman that will be working at UPS after college. The modern offensive lineman in the NFL are yetis. They can handle their own. I'm going to want to see it from the Eagles before I crown them.

Philly had Fletcher Cox for a decade and at his peak he was better than Carter will likely be. He didn’t make Philly unbeatable. Neither will Carter:

And Brandon Graham has been a great DE and always go to the QB more than Nolan Smith has. Again, Graham didn’t make them unbeatable.

Dallas has beaten that team a lot of times with Cox and Graham playing defense. The two guys from last night doesn’t change things very much.

Hargrave last season played a lot better than anyone Philly has this year at DT. And Dallas split with them. Hargrave is gone.

They lost several others on defense as well as their starting RG.

This is just a silly thread. It will be a battle in the East. Dallas will be significantly better at DT this season. And WR. And CB.

Before proclaiming Philly NFC East champs, maybe we should let the teams play.

You're so funny. This board would be blowing up if the Cowboys had drafted Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith last night...LOL..

why is everything here about praising the eagles?

fans have been crying for a DT in the first and get one then cry about the eagles getting one
Been that way for years. And not only the Egles but for most other teams. They always do it better. It can be the exact same thing but other teams are genius, Dallas is dumb.

But the love for the Eagles on here is unbearable at times.

But you already know this as well.

I wasn’t crazy about Carter. Todd McShay said that 7 separate teams told him that Carter didn’t listen to coaches, didn’t practice well, talked back to coaches and doesn’t always stay within the confines of the defensive system.

He’s pretty talented, (not strong but really quick) but he isn’t that talented where he will overcome that type of attitude. Maybe he does or maybe he doesn’t but that remains to be seen.

Nolan Smith, I would have absolutely loved to have in Dallas. His attitude, love of the game and his good athleticism all are good enough to overcome his lack of college production. I think that Quinn could have gotten his production up.

So you were half right… I’d love one of those guys.

That doesn’t mean that your Eagles are going to win the East for sure. Dallas wasn’t that far behind y’all last year and has made some additions of their own. The script of this coming season has yet to be written. Maybe y’all win the East, maybe Dallas does, hell maybe the Giants do.

So we will see what happens.

Dallas has absolutely owned Philly over the last 5 seasons to the tune of a 7-3 record. There is 0 reason to think that Dallas will not be pretty much on the same level as Philly this upcoming season. Why are we will acting like they are some unbeatable juggernaut?

They had one good season with a weak schedule. Will they repeat what they did last year? Doubtful.

I can see Hurts returning back to form and there is no guarantee that the players drafted will be any good.

I don’t understand why there are so many Eagles posts on a Dallas Cowboys forum. We need to worry about our house and maybe winning a divisional playoff game for the first time since Bill Clinton was President

When you get 2 defensive players like they just did, hard to argue
Everyone said that last year. Davis and Dean did nothing for them, which is why they say they did due diligence this year. Smith will be a good situational pass rusher, but he won’t stand up vs NFL DEs in the run game. That’s why he dropped. Carter may be an excellent tackle, but I doubt he will be any better than Cox has been, probably less in the pass game. They got two very good players, but neither one is going to shine the way Parsons did his first year.

I guess you're going to say you would take Mazi over Carter...LOL

Most Nfc weak but sucks for us the Eagles are so good.
How dumb would the Eagles have been to take Bijon over Carter or Gibbs over Nolan if they had the chance?

Eagles know how to draft and they know what wins in the NFL. The trenches. Have to tip your hat to them.

Their defense got fleeced in the offseason. They lost a lot of guys. But they turned around and replaced them with total studs on rookie deals. Very impressive.

Eagles are a good football team.

But the inane structuring they do on contracts and the lack of draft picks is wild.

Jalen Carter is a stud of a player.
That had the worst off-season of about ANY draft candidate.
So a massive Rangy Gregory type risk.

And they also handed away their R4 to move up 1 pick... no bigghie right?
Well they already had no round 5 nor roudn 6 picks???
Now they just sit out R4, R5, R6?

Those guys are the cheapo players you need to make the cap work.
I expected them to TRADE DOWN with 1 or even both R1 selections to add more picks.

Eagles split with us last year and will be a tough out this year but they are on such an extreme model that it is likely to crater sooner or later.
The Hurts deal is flat out nuts.
It took like a week to get it officially signed and released because it is so one off.
1M bases every year of the deal?
No levers to lower cap hit? They are all already flexed out into option bonuses???
Wheeeeeee!!!! Look ma no hands.
