does he look like HOF material? sorry. he is a RB playing QB. take away his running, force him into the pocket, lets see how he does. same with Lamar Jackson
Hmm...seems I remember a guy in Philly named Mike Schmidt. Batted .196 and almost had twice as many strike outs as hits his first full year. Didn't look like the greatest third baseman to ever play MLB. I guess if you were the GM, you would have traded him for pennies.

Sandy Koufax? 26-40 with an 4.04 ERA and a WHIP of 1.446 in his first six years. I'm sure he wouldn't have been on your team for long.

Like I said , you just don't know how someone will develop. You must a rich man, using your crystal ball to play the lottery.

lol damn.

It appears KC has themselves a steal. As for the NFCE, Jones and now Hurts are not super QBs ....Dallas has no excuse for not contending or dominating this division. Ooops, forgot they have Dak. Guess it's a free for all. Thank heavens for the commoders ..

He did take his team to the super bowl and almost won it.

So did Kaepernick... but he couldn't even get a job. Ironic isn't it. But speaking of Eagles quarterbacks who've led their team to a Superbowl.... Nick Foles led them to a Superbowl VICTORY.

So why didn't they offer him a max deal??

The Eagles were smart to get this deal done on this final cheap year.
They were also smart to get a 5-year extension.

They were insane to pay the highest EVER contract to a guy that has had 1 plus NFL season.
Hurts had a 9-10 record in this first two seasons.
He was only a 87 QB Rating in 2021.

Last year was special but you just paid BEYOND Mahomes money.
YIKES!!!
Might be paying for future as well. He has gotten better every year.

Because he didn’t finish second in MVP voting and lead the nfl in passer rating from the pocket

Possibly but to say that Hurts was a big reason they lost the SB is a bit of a stretch. Other than that bad fumble, he had a really good game.

Only a Cowboys homer can't admit that.
It’s tough. Because I think you can make the argument he outplayed Mahomes. He had one of the best performances of all time in the SB. And his defense sucked. Not one damn sack and they had 70 plus during the season. But the difference in the game was the fumble 6….if defense shows up against a hobbled Mahomes the fumble 6 wouldn’t have hurt as much….

Sure he does.
His cap hit next year is 59M and his dead cap number would be 61M if they cut him.
The team is the one who needs the extension.
Dak has made an extra 50M at least being patient thus far in his career.

Haven't seen the breakdown, as of late, but that doesn't sound accurate if you include his two void years.

At one point it was an avg of 35 a year, BUT that includes two void years with dead money.

I believe his performance without KM will be a huge factor for his possible extension.

I did ....... The eagles were winning the game and Mahomes was hurt ..... Then Hurts threw an interception and the whole game changed.

But apparently you did not watch the game.
If you get a chance, rewatch the game. He did not throw an interception, but he was responsible for 4 touchdowns.

No Fish....the bar HAS NOT been set by Hurts for Dak to be "taken care of"....Dak has not taken his team to a Super Bowl like Hurts has...he has not taken us to a NFCCG and won it like Hurts has....Dak doesn't deserve one penny more than he is making now....which is too much BTW. There should be ZERO pressure for Booger and Chuckles to suddenly feel the need to make Dak feel better....Dak is the one that needs to be making COWBOY FANS feel better....here going into year EIGHT!!!

I think we know Kaepernick had other toxic baggage.
