It’s overrun with bitter fans. I guess you’d prefer a rule that forbids complimenting a player from any franchise except Dallas.
No, I'm okay with complimenting other players... all players in fact. I'm extremely "pro player".

I'm just sick of coming to a COWBOYS fan board and seeing people crapping on the Cowboys players more than their division rivals!!! How about these fake Cowboys fans take a hike, go to the Eagles board and gush all over this terrible contract there?

The Eagles were smart to get this deal done on this final cheap year.
They were also smart to get a 5-year extension.

They were insane to pay the highest EVER contract to a guy that has had 1 plus NFL season.
Hurts had a 9-10 record in this first two seasons.
He was only a 87 QB Rating in 2021.

Last year was special but you just paid BEYOND Mahomes money.
YIKES!!!
You might be be looking at a different stat. The highest QBR possible is 100 and Brady has the highest ever at 87. Jalen had a QBR of 54.6 in 2021. He was #4 last year at 66.4 but it was only good enough for 118th all time.

The top 25 all time QBR’s are dominated by Brady, Brees, Rogers, P. Manning, & Mahomes). The only other QB’s to make the top 25 made it 1 time (Jackson, Gerrard, Ryan, Romo, Wentz, and Prescott). Dak has 3 of 6 seasons in the top 75 all time but none since the injury (2016, ‘17, & ‘19). He was in the top 25 in ‘20 before he got hurt.

Let’s just pray that Hurts incredible season was just a fluke….but I don’t think so.

the light clearly came on for him. He’s gonna be a handful for the next couple years

I've already answered this many times since the season ended. This offseason needed to be dedicated to improving the offense around the fraud as much as possible. We need to give him the best set of skill position players in the league or die trying because the QB will give you nothing. He will just take a quarter of your cap space.

Sorry (not really) if it offends you but your QB sucking while being paid like he's a franchise player is a pretty big deal.
but here you are whining about Dak yet again. you want to dump the bum, yet you still have never given an answer. just whining that we need to have a lot around him and not worth it and shouldn't do it, blah blah blah

and here we are yet again..........do you think Cooks is the best skill set WR in the league? do you think Lamb is the best skill set WR in the league? where would you rank them? is that stacking the team for Dak?

and the QB getting paid like franchise player. what the heck does that even mean. the 15th highest QB gets paid 30M a year. the 12th highest get paid 35M... Ryan freaking tannehill is making 30M a year. that's the NFL son. wake up. you have complaints, just write the owners. all the whining ain't changing anything

Hmm...seems I remember a guy in Philly named Mike Schmidt. Batted .196 and almost had twice as many strike outs as hits his first full year. Didn't look like the greatest third baseman to ever play MLB. I guess if you were the GM, you would have traded him for pennies.

Sandy Koufax? 26-40 with an 4.04 ERA and a WHIP of 1.446 in his first six years. I'm sure he wouldn't have been on your team for long.

Like I said , you just don't know how someone will develop. You must a rich man, using your crystal ball to play the lottery.
baseball !!! you are talking about Baseball!!!> baseball that is.

did you see the supporting cast Hurts had this past year.

And like all the others, including Dak when he signed his second contract, Hurts will not count much against their cap for the next couple of years. It’s backloaded so they can be competitive now. They will pay him later whether he’s on the team or not. They hope to win 1 or 2 trophies soon.

Meanwhile, Jerry kicked his salary cap savings down the road for 2-3 years, rolling it into the next year rather than putting the best supporting class possible out there. He gambled at OL and WR and lost both times. I’ll bet Philly spends every penny the first couple of years trying to win.

Shhh, the Dak critics aren't going to like this. It destroys their "Dak doesn't deserve getting paid like an elite QB" mantra.

We should’ve won that game.

Who cares what people thought. It was clear we had a better team but our QB freaked out and threw awful picks and missed wide open receivers.

Pre game predictions mean squat. The matchups favored Dallas.
We had a better team? SF was considered favorites to win when they got McCaffery…

He’s a good QB. But I don’t know if he’s to the point where I fear him. Seems like he hasn’t really beaten us that bad yet.

If that’s your attitude you’ll be stuck with a jag at QB with nothing to look forward but a high draft pick every April. Glad you don’t run the team. All Herbert has done so far as put up numbers. His QB record is one game over 500. He was part of the reason his team lost a 27 point lead in the playoffs. So far he’s been Matt Stafford in Detroit.
Yeah geez, the 49ers sure have sucked recently using this very strategy! I sure am glad the Cowboys don't think the same way as those losers over in SF!

I haven't read through the previous 15 pages............. will someone please tell me the Dak Stans aren't on here claiming that Dak is worth that and much more? Dude can't get anywhere in the playoffs and his fans think he deserves to be the highest paid person on the planet.
Nope, now they've just switched gears to what a bargain we have.

I don’t have a dog in the hunt…I just think the no talent comments are silly. What should be concerning is that Dak hasn’t seemed to regain his form since his injury for whatever reason. Here are his QBR rankings by year:

2016 - #3….. 22 all time
2017 - #4….. 65 all time
2018 - #17
2019 - #4……47 all time
2020 - #4 (pre injury)…..38 all time
2021 - #11
2022 - #12

If he can find his old form, we will be fine but something has been missing the last few years.
