I'm not saying you have to win with a rookie. You have to win within the first 5 years of them being in the league. Huge difference.

I agree that more teams need to take swings at talent on the margins. Heck, Dak ended up being one of the highest value 4th round picks of the last decade.

Omg. Lol. It wasn’t even a real game… it was over by halftime due to fluke run of injuries And you seem to be giving it more relevance in terms of evaluating hurts, than the Super Bowl? Any NFL quarterback could’ve won that game… ridiculously dumb analysis.

Hurts didn't ball last year. hurts ran pretty well. he was 10th in passing. with that WR group. with that TE. with that running game. and the #2 defense in the league.

so yeah, all in all Hurts had a very strong supporting cast.

come on dude. watch some football, or sit in the back of the room and listen to some who know a couple of things more than you.

It should be obvious why I brought up each player. If you had any imagination you would figure it out. It clearly goes to your idea of comparisons. And I never even mention a TE--you are the one drinking too many beers. I also never said that Hurts didn't have a good supporting cast. Anyone reading my posts over the past few years knows that I believe them to have the best o-line in the game. I simply reiterated some of the nonsense I read on this board. Probably some of yours, based on your reading and understanding comprehension. You're not the fool who said Steele was better than Lane Johnson, are you?

Hurts did ball out last year. Perhaps you are caught up in the stats department and forgot about what it means to play a disciplined game within a designed system. Dak would not have done as well, as the skill set needed to run that system is not Dak's...just as Hurts's skill set in not best suited for last year's Kellan Moore offense.

As for not knowing football, a few people here know I played four years of D1, three as a starter. I know just a little bit about the game.

Despite the stupidity in Cleveland and Arizona,how is Burrow not the top paid QB when he is due? He is a clear #2 after Mahomes.

What do you want us to do, boo the Eagles for what they pulled off? Now I don't know if Jalen Hurts would be an all-world beater if he wasn't surrounded by the talent they have, but really the praise/love/admiration part of the Eagles success is getting out of the Carson Wentz disaster and finding a sucker team like the Colts to suck draft capital out of.

Maybe someday in the future, the Eagles will pay the price for having to pay top dollar for their QB. But not this year. The Eagles superbowl window is wide open and if they are smart, they take Bijan with the #10 pick and enjoy having the most balanced/dangerous offense in football over the next few seasons. That's what I would do.
