HA HA!!!Kyler Murray would take Jalen Hurts over Kyler Murray
The QBs couldn't be further apart. Jalen Hurts has to be a big part of the run game for the team to have success.Completely different era. Each of those players also had an elite arm.
lol damn.
They have a good two year window before the cap hit becomes a problem.Goodbye surrounding talent.
What a crazy story, good for them.
I'm not saying you have to win with a rookie. You have to win within the first 5 years of them being in the league. Huge difference.I guess because they don’t actually win? Rookie qb’s don’t win all that often so yeah, the good ones get paid big bucks after their initial contracts. On top of that, a large percentage of 1st round qb’s bust so it’s a long time to suck before you can’t finally find a good one, even if the rest of your team is competent.
What I don’t understand is why more teams don’t take flyers on later round qb’s and see what sticks. There are numerous successful later round qb’s in the league and all it takes is a mid-round draft pick. It’s so damn hard to evaluate qb’s out of college that I don’t see why more teams do t gamble on the later rounds. The costs are minute and the rewards are basically franchise altering.
Burrow. Yikes. BTW why is Herbert so loved? Guy has done zilch.Wait until Burrow, Herbert and Lawrence get their 2nd contracts.
Omg. Lol. It wasn’t even a real game… it was over by halftime due to fluke run of injuries And you seem to be giving it more relevance in terms of evaluating hurts, than the Super Bowl? Any NFL quarterback could’ve won that game… ridiculously dumb analysis. No, your just not getting it. Hurts had to do nothing that game. Doesnt matter why. It was a layup.
More likely he gets an extension and lower his cap...What if Prescott now holds out for a new deal?
It should be obvious why I brought up each player. If you had any imagination you would figure it out. It clearly goes to your idea of comparisons. And I never even mention a TE--you are the one drinking too many beers. I also never said that Hurts didn't have a good supporting cast. Anyone reading my posts over the past few years knows that I believe them to have the best o-line in the game. I simply reiterated some of the nonsense I read on this board. Probably some of yours, based on your reading and understanding comprehension. You're not the fool who said Steele was better than Lane Johnson, are you?yes, I did think Aikman was a HOFer. he was the consensus #1, can't miss prospect. even in his first year, surronded by high school level players, you could see some of the talent that would shine through. I didn't see that in Hurts. so yeah, your point stands on a sand bar....
and yes, Hurs supporting cast. who in the world ranked Gallup>>> smith. they should be admited to hospital psychiatric emergency care unit and locked up in a suit. AJ Brown is not over rated. he was and still is one of the best WR in the league. and it doesn't change the fact that Philly had a top 5 rushing offense. I never mentioned sanders. also Philly according to most had the best OL in football. and why do you even bring up Steele? this was about the talent surronding Hurts. I am not going to argue if Steele was better than Johnson, because it doesn't mean johnson was a bad player. and you want to tell me he didn't have support of a top notch TE?
and then you took another sip of your 8th beer and switched to Emmitt vs. Barry...what in the heck!!!! what does that have to do with sun rising in the east!!!!
Hurts didn't ball last year. hurts ran pretty well. he was 10th in passing. with that WR group. with that TE. with that running game. and the #2 defense in the league.
so yeah, all in all Hurts had a very strong supporting cast.
come on dude. watch some football, or sit in the back of the room and listen to some who know a couple of things more than you.
I am not even going to respond to the gibberish last sentence. I think by that point you were sipping your 11th beer.
What do you want us to do, boo the Eagles for what they pulled off? Now I don't know if Jalen Hurts would be an all-world beater if he wasn't surrounded by the talent they have, but really the praise/love/admiration part of the Eagles success is getting out of the Carson Wentz disaster and finding a sucker team like the Colts to suck draft capital out of.Wow! You would think that Hurts won a championship for Dallas with all the praise, love and admiration.
What's his pronounced weakness?$50 million per year for a guy that requires an offense be built around protecting his very pronounced weaknesses
Yikes
wrong wrong wrong. its 21 running TDs....you tend to exagerate.
Playing in a division with Dak??What's his pronounced weakness?
I agree. He has a great arm, but he makes multiple stupid decisions per game. And he really hasn't elevated the Chargers.Burrow. Yikes. BTW why is Herbert so loved? Guy has done zilch.
Uhhh, you're making stuff up. Anyone can mention games. Pull up those video game highlights to backup what you're saying. He choked in both 49er playoff games. He choked against the Rams in the playoffs. Don't try and sell me that 4th quarter crap that he almost won the game. All those short possessions in the first half killed the Cowboys defense. How about the Denver and Cardinals game leading up to the 49 er loss. Denver again along with Atlanta, Eagles, Chargers, Jets and GB the year the Eagles won the SB. How about Buffalo on Thanksgiving and Chicago following that game a few years ago.
