I understand that this is one that you're gung-ho about and I can appreciate that. But I also think that you're making quite a few assumptions here that I don't see being supported.
I agree with you that it's true that a 3rd round pick for 2019 is more valuable than a possible comp pick in 2020. The pick from the Cowboys would be guaranteed, while any comp pick would be conditional and subject to being wiped out entirely if the Seahawks were to make a big signing themselves. To say nothing of the fact that Seattle would save $8.5 million for today and the future as well, ideal for what is clearly a rebuilding team.
