These polls just get dumber and dumber......Face it we have BP he's a good coach...BTW how my SB's has cower won???? Thought sooooooo....
wileedog said:What do you NOT GET about Parcells taking over a perennial 5-11 team with a roster loaded with crap? It takes time to turn that over, and the NFCE has been improving steadily along with us.
Or that Cowher every year has at least two completely abysmal teams in his division to beat up on, making the playoffs a virtual lock?
Wolverine said:What do you not GET about Cowher havin his Steelers in the Championship and Parcells havin yet to win just 1 playoff game for the Cowboys.
Oh wait.....maybe I need to put on my Silver and Blue glasses to see things the way you do.

Yeah that vaunted Gibbs offense was awe-inspiring.Wolverine said:Joe Gibbs had just as big a problem as the Cowboys but did more for his team in 2 years then Parcells has done here in 3 years.
Cowher has also had 15 seasons with which to work withWolverine said:I really dont care about Super Bowls he has won when TRex and other dinosaurs were still on this planet.
It all comes down to what has he done for the Dallas Cowboys. So far 25 wins 24 losses....1 game above .500.
Bill Cowher has done more for his Steelers then Parcells has done for the Cowboys.
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Cowher last make it in 1995-96 and Parcells in 1996-97? That being said, I'd rather have Cowher, but I'd be happy with either.Jimz31 said:Besides, Cowher has been to the Superbowl more recently than BP has.
Jimz31 said:Besides, does ANYBODY think that if BP were the coach there, that BR would be the QB?
AdamJT13 said:I have no doubt he would be. Cowher didn't make Roethlisberger the starter as a rookie, you know. Roethlisberger took over because of Tommy Maddox's injury and earned the job permanently by playing extremely efficiently and winning 15 consecutive games. Parcells would love that, if he was the coach.

Parcells: 3 SB appearences, 2 SB wins
Cowher: 1 SB appearence, no SB wins, 3 title game losses at home
Parcells was, is, and always will be the better coach.

Who cares about the past. It is all about what Parcells has done for the Cowboys. Which is 1 game above .500
I forgot about that one in 96-97.AdamJT13 said:Yes, Parcells has made the Super Bowl more recently than Cowher. So have Jim Fassell and Bill Callahan.
Jimz31 said:I forgot about that one in 96-97.
Don't be too sure that BP would have stayed with BR...I could see him scouring the waiver wire for a vet after Maddox went down.
BigDFan5 said:and as has been said (and ignored by you) several times. Cowher has had 14 years to put his team together. Parcells took over a crap team 3 seasons ago and we are already alot better
wileedog said:Nah, Bill compared Big Ben to a young Dan Marino last year. He clearly likes the kid.
In 13 seasons under Cowher, the Steelers have earned nine postseason berths, captured eight division titles, advanced to five AFC Championship games and made one Super Bowl appearance. He is one of only six coaches in NFL history to claim at least eight division titles.
During his 15 seasons as an NFL head coach, Parcells has posted a record of 149-106-1, including victories in Super Bowls XXI and XXV with the New York Giants and an appearance in Super Bowl XXXI with the New England Patriots. Parcells returns to the NFL as the third winningest active coach, trailing only Dan Reeves (197 in 22 years) and Marty Schottenheimer (166 in 17 years). His 149 career wins place him 13th overall in NFL history.
Parcells has guided his teams to 10 winning seasons, eight playoff berths and an 11-6 postseason record.
