In what world do fans think they can win with a horrible front office who hires horrible coaching??
Dallas

yeah but it is insane to wait lol.I'm really skeptical of bringing him back as well. As much as I want to believe its mostly a personnel issue, you would think by week 13 many of the same issues would no longer be as glaring with the right adjustments. He absolutely needs a MLB and safety that is more instictive and is capable of getting themselves in the right position. However, I would hate to waste another year with him. This reminds me of bringing in Monte Kiffin and Mike Nolan. Both were 1 year here and were so bad it made no sense to bring him back. The defense improved under the next guy..
I know it sounds insane to wait but maybe Jerry gave him some new toys as like a second chance bigger picture to help make them have larger sample size and scenarios so when he makes a decision he knows that it was the correct thing to do...yeah but it is insane to wait lol.
there has to be someone else who could be interim dc with some new ideas.
Because it's loyalty to the star. Not who owns and runs things. Loyalty to who came before. Plus, ain't it fun to watch a Trainwreck sometimes? Lol. What if it doesn't end bad?In what world do fans think they can win with a horrible front office who hires horrible coaching??Dallas

How old are you? Most humans don't make 90. I don't know what another 30 years will put you at for age.For me, I wanna be here for when we turn things around. We will.
Hey I hear you lol. I know it looks bleak. But I've seen something this year different. Only problem is the DC and the back 7. We have the means finally to address these things. Flus needs gone first and foremost. How old are you? Most humans don't make 90. I don't know what another 30 years will put you.
I have a different take.......we ALL agree the run issues are fixed but stated the pass defense is still a work in progress. Remember, the Lions have arguably the most dangerous RB in the league as a runner AND receiver. Now add TWO elite WRs against our subpar LBers and secondary. The pitch and catch we saw via "soft zone" was Eberflus scared to death of getting beat over the top. He was literally faced with pick your own poison. IMO we lost coz we simply didn't have enough to match their high-power offense. I think another asked why we only used the 5-man front 11 times. There is your answer. I'm pretty sure Campbell adjusted by threatening to take advantage of the vulnerable backend.Since Williams has been acquired, they are one of the best in that area. Last week, they didn't lose cause they couldn't stop the run, but rather Detroit ate them up in those soft zone coverage. Once Eberflus stopped sending the blitz, it was pitch and catch for the Lions Offense all night long.
Still not what I said. When you said this:
All of the linebackers, safeties, corners, and linemen didn’t suddenly forget how to play.
They got Flused. Just like the Joneses.
No. The defensive coordinator of the worst defense in the league.Still not what I said.
Different roster, but sure. And, not the only new coach. But sure.
And given how difficult it is to keep a roster to, do you actually want to WASTE ANOTHER SEASON to confirm the obvious?yeah but it is insane to wait lol.

They do have talent issues on defense, but giving up 44 points isn't competitive at all. At least take some chances, rather then waiting for a slow death. A QB like Goff will kill you if you don't disrupt his timing.I have a different take.......we ALL agree the run issues are fixed but stated the pass defense is still a work in progress. Honestly, I would like to see a different DC also, especially Schotty choosing his own but IMO the Lions game was lost by superior talent, not coaching.
All we need to look at is the Bears this yr post Eberflus running their defense. His specialty and strength is linebackers. With that beign said the linebackers including overshown have been absolutely trash. He has no business beign the DC in Dallas next off-season. He needs to go. This defense has been the reason this team isnt gonna make the playoffs. If Jerry is serious like he seems he has been lately, then he'll get rid of this pariah.
This is why they looked better against KC as they were forced to play press coverage against Mahomes as he eats up zone coverages. One major problem is you have a roster full of man corners who you've decided to have play zone.
We need more talent, but the defense shouldn't be this terrible. Both prior DC's did a far better job with similar personnel.Vague question. There are TONS of variables besides JUST the DC.
The level of playmaking talent is what stands out to me. Just my opinion
And he’s arguably the least mobile quarterback you’ll see all season. You KNOW where he’s going to be, PRESSURE HIM!They do have talent issues on defense, but giving up 44 points isn't competitive at all. At least take some chances, rather then waiting for a slow death. A QB like Goff will kill you if you don't disrupt his timing.
Oh and they ADDED our former defensive backs coach. A guy who’s made a Pro Bowler out of former Cowboy Nahshon Wright! All we need to look at is the Bears this yr post Eberflus running their defense.
Are you related to Eberflus? It's the talent and roster depth. Specifically at LB & Safety.
If he's a relative, I surely would not claim him.No. The defensive coordinator of the worst defense in the league.
But sure.
The players that are still here are having the worst season of their career.
But sure. It’s all of them, not the defensive coordinator.
I’m sorry if he’s a relative, but there’s no excuse for the absolutely terrible job he’s doing in Dallas.
