$60 million a year to be a bus driver. Idiotic decision by Jerry. They can do that with a draft pick. Rush isn't the answer. No one knows if Lance can be.
I have to believe that they “know” and have seen enough of Lance.

This season has been over for months now and they’re clearly avoiding putting Lance on the field.

Their actions tell me all that I need to know.

When I said this the other day you came in with your low football iq pretending we had an elite defense before with dak.
I stated that Dak has been the limiting factor whether the defense plays well or not. Too many Dak fans delude themselves in thinking that we need more defense when in reality we have an offense that can't sustain any significant offense through the game. Too many fast 3 and outs putting more burden on a defense in a game where complimentary football is what secures wins.

Definitely needs a better run game, but if Dak himself can no longer run….and Jerry said they “don’t want him to” a few days before the injury, he has no chance.

A QB has to be able to move the chains with his legs here and there, unless you’re a Dan Marino type passer, which he clearly isn’t….and yeah, Jerry thinks he ought to be due to his paycheck. He has said things like this in the past about others.

Post of your life!!!! The short drives are killer, quick three and out and put our defense right back on the field

Let's bring back context that I know you dislike. In this very thread you brought up dilfer and ravens. That defense didn't play "well" they were elite. Something Dak never had. It's something Purdy has had. It's something Hurts has had. But I know saying this in your brain=Dak fan

There have been games where the defense has played well enough to win and the Cowboys offense has failed spectacularly. Then there have been games like the one we saw against GB where the defense has failed along with the offense - spectacularly. In either cases, the offense failed to do anything - making it the limiting factor. You further look at the fact that in that GB game the defense was the more banged up side of the ball playing with safeties at the LB position and without a few of their key pieces. But somehow we expect that side of the ball to always be "elite" while the offense gets to skate on with no critique whatsoever. Hell I'd love it if our defense was elite, but let's no pretend like this defense hasn't put together games where they have kept the opponent in check enough to win.

Finally, if it makes you feel better - you are not a Dak fan. There, happy? Everyone, listen up I hereby proclaim that @stilltheguru isn't a Dak fan.

You don’t pay $60 million a year for Jimmy G or a Trent Dilfer

They will continue to make him the focal point

Tell me where to sign up for that meal ticket .
Seems I missed the boat on it
Ha, well there are plenty of exceptions for sure. No idea what you do, but whatever it is, look around at the bosses…anywhere really. Generally they do less work and are paid more, but it took some time to get to that point. Seems to become more severe the higher you go up the ladder lol.

This is literally the only way you can win with a QB like Dak. Look at what the Ravens did with Dilfer. That is what you need for Dak. Dak is incapable of carrying this offense in any meaningful way you would expect. We can dispel with this notion that he is somehow on par with Mahomes, Burrow or Allen and actually recongize what we have, a below average QB who should not be expected to be leaned on when the need arises.
But I bet you were all for Romo when he was playing?

The offense has been dumbed down for Dak practically every year. It's WAY past time for the highest paid player in the history to step up. We already know a dominant OL and running game is the answer. Yet, sadly, Jerry doesn't seem to prioritize that.
A balanced offense is a very good recipe for winning football.....we've been requiring our QB to hoist everything or most on his shoulders, way before Dak's arrival to this team. Creating a balance team is an even better recipe for winning football.......the old Big 12 shootout style of football (49-48 scores) will not get it done........always been placing everything on the QB. Scouting, player evaluation, and player development flaws have undermined this, not the salary cap.
