I know right. What a joke.Yeah, can't trust the highest paid NFL player to do his job. No one should expect him to actually carry the team or anything.
How many times has Rush taken a snap under Center?I can tell you the reason the running game has been working with Rush is that he can take a snap from under center. Dak is horrible at that…..
Rush is willing to do so, plus he doesn't check out of the run as often as Dak did. Multiple people around the team confirmed that this year.I can tell you the reason the running game has been working with Rush is that he can take a snap from under center. Dak is horrible at that…..
This is literally the only way you can win with a QB like Dak. Look at what the Ravens did with Dilfer. That is what you need for Dak. Dak is incapable of carrying this offense in any meaningful way you would expect. We can dispel with this notion that he is somehow on par with Mahomes, Burrow or Allen and actually recongize what we have, a below average QB who should not be expected to be leaned on when the need arises.
That's the tough thing to swallow. If you're highest paid at your position, you need to be "that guy" every week, every game.
1. Dak Prescott has largely lived the charmed existence of playing in one of if not the worst division in football. Much of his vaunted stats people tout to list him that high in QB rankings is based on lot of these empty stats amassed by beating up on weak competition. His weaknesses are amplified anytime he is expected to step up and do more, a lot like Dilfer. The fact that he is ranked the way he is only serves to highlight the dearth of above average qbs in the league.I actually have no problem with your take. We all know Dak isn't elite but I'm confused by one of your statements. You said Dak is below average, correct? I have two quick questions, hopefully you can bring some clarity to me.
1. How does a below average quarterback maintain a top 10 position his whole career, become All Pro and an MVP candidate in the NFL?
2. If it's so easy for below average quarterbacks to consistently be in the top 10 for multiple seasons, become All Pro and MVP candidates, who are the other below average quarterbacks to have done these things?
Please give us some of the names of other below average quarterbacks who have done the things previously listed, since it's apparently easy to accomplish.
I'll patiently wait.....

2. Most recently I’d say 2022 runner up Jalen Hurts. Same as Dak but blessed with a team that isn’t run by a complete ******. Much of mvp related stuff is based on pure stats, enjoy a season where you get a lot of minnows on your schedule and put together a nice run. You saw that with Hurts and you saw that with Dak.
Only a select few idiots on this board believed that.We can dispel with this notion that he is somehow on par with Mahomes, Burrow

The real question is can Jerry build that team.Stupid premise, Ed.
Of course Mike is capable of doing that. The question is, would Jerry and Dak stand for that? The answer is obviously no. Dak has tremendous latitude and influence here as the Franchise QB and Jerry Favorite. They're the ones determining this, not the head coach.
Paying Dak $60 mill a year was ridiculous, but in Dak's defense I will say that the last two seasons the Cowboys had the #1 ranked offense in the NFL and Dak did lead the NFL in TD passes. The offense has been dumbed down for Dak practically every year. It's WAY past time for the highest paid player in the history to step up. We already know a dominant OL and running game is the answer. Yet, sadly, Jerry doesn't seem to prioritize that.
And he wants no parts of it at all because he needs to see the defense still to be successful in year 10 lolI can tell you the reason the running game has been working with Rush is that he can take a snap from under center. Dak is horrible at that…..
