This has been common sense since Dak was in the league. Dak is statically better when we have a run first, go play action heavy and stay out of shotgun all game. Garrett found a formula but he just got to stubborn and would add any layers to what they had play calling wise. So as the great wall weakened, he continued to rely on past success. MM will refuse to consistently run the ball when Dak is at the helm, fired KM for not running the ball and KM ran the ball more than MM did and does. Then what did he do when Rush had to step in, he ran the ball more and ran more playaction at a higher rate and threw the ball less. Why does he do that when Dak is at the helm? Thats not an Jerry issue, bc guess what-MM is calling the plays. Does Jerry help the situation with his foolishness, absolutely not but this is a play calling issue and he calls plays two different ways and asks Dak to do more, when he should be calling the game the same way as he does Rush. Dak had to deal with an ineffective Zeke being featured with a mix of Rico where Cooper has gotten the best version of Rico, and less of Zeke. Dak should have a strong OL and running game, he shouldnt be throwing the ball 40 times a game and in shotgun 20-25 time a game. Smh

Imagine giving a guy the richest contract in the history of the NFL and then a year later you have to figure out how to use him less?
Where does this rank, paying Dak this contract, in order of Jerry's dumbest moves? Top 3? Jimmy Johnson is #1, Galloway trade #2 and then this?
Imagine not giving him his contract that would have been cheaper than he current and previous on two to three occasions but you decided to pay Collins, Smith, Zeke, Cooper and then try to negotiate in the public and make him the villain. They could have had Dak for a 90M for 7 years at one point but they mishandled it. So, then you make him play against his strengths during contract years and he banks on himself and balls out and bc they mishandled how they used him scheme wise and made him do more than he should have, and then wanted to wait until all these other QBs got paid vs just playing him. Now people are like man he shouldnt be doing this or that, well hell, if you had a real coach they would have seen that a long time ago bc hell even Garrett realized that at one point and we had alot of success but it seems like he went away from it and MM has never figured this out and now everyone is coming for Dak lol. You should be coming for Jerry and the coaching staff bc they are the reason we are here with this issue.

I guess this is also another was of saying "Dak friendly" ...

Hop on the bus, Dak
You don’t need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, please
And set us all free

We need a more Dak friendly team!

Lets start with the Cowboys offensive line of the 90's, the 1985 Bears Defense and the Rams greatest show on turf of the late 1990's to early 2000's.

Of course a new HC and OC because Dak obviously has issues with these guys too.

Please let me know what else we need to help the highest paid player in NFL history win consecutive playoff games.
He needs a bigger I-pad to stare at on the bench after he throws an interception or fumbles.

I'm no fan of Werder so I only glanced at the beginning of the article and didn't read this thread (so I apologize if I missed something), but it's a pathetic reflection on roster management to even entertain this thought about the highest paid player in NFL history because in a cap world, comparative salary does matter.

The best player in the league or his position doesn't necessarily get the richest contract. Contrary, it's typically based on timing and market value. We've been over this before, but some people just don't like the fact its Dak getting the "richest contract" at this moment, at the QB position. How dare Jerry. It's been killing the fan base all season, including fooling us that because of the contract, Jerry is hand-tied. It has gone the length of making Cooper Rush a second team All Pro on this board and dismissing all the other failures that reveal this team as pretenders, weekly and all season. Hatred is blind.

I have beachfront property in Wyoming for sale.

His dedication of an entire draft to special teams ranks up there.

This is nothing new.......we all have said a stronger running makes Dak more effective. To be honest, that's true for most QBs .......select few can still carry a team without it.
Trying to be fair to Dak, yes he needs a running game. The Blueprint and Jimmie Ward circle Jan 2022 and Jan 2023, all point to it being general knowledge that you stop our running game, sit two high Safeties, bring one down post snap.....and Dak does the rest.
Now that Dak's mobility are in the rear view mirror we need to focus on the running game to establish the pass.
The one concern is whether in games we trail, Dak has the patience to stick to the running game.....(the GB play-off a game in question, even though behind, our running game was still working).
But, yes, we may not like it....and I'm sure Jerry thinks, I'm not spending $90m+ on Dak, CeeDee to run the rock...whereas to get the best out oc the offense he'll need a sufficient balance to keep defences honest.

They've already had a dominant OL and running game from 2016 to 2018, maybe '19.

The end result with this QB is still the same.

Its a more fun to watch offense but it's a sad dark reality of knowing the ultimate outcome will never change regardless of changing playcaller, defensive support or run game.

That's Sleepnumber reality.
