Not every team has 2 1,000 yard WR but again they had a lot of talent and finished the 2019 season at 7-9 with a QB who threw 30 ints on the season. I think Brady is an outstanding QB and yes bringing him to Tampa got them over the hump but Brady is not doing it alone and only an moron would sit there and act as if QB do not need talent around them to win. Frankly an insult to all the men who have played championship football because they damn well know it take a lot to win and it take talent. Go back to your Madden football or get a clue but this non sense you know more? You don't know jack

They threw the football way more than anyone in the league. Save your stats.

Go back to your box score or get a clue.

the combination of KC two tackles being out and the front 7 of tampa won last years superbowl. I know many of us wanted Vita Vea in draft. Pierre Paul wasnt washed up and Suh is a beast still. That doesnt even touch the linebackers or CB who was all world in playoffs.

it makes a world of difference when your QB isnt handing out picks like Halloween candy. It took them about 9 weeks to get continuity but once they did the addition of Brady was just the final piece

Having an elite QB is certainly helpful, but not a necessity. The team that is playing its best football has the best chance to win the SB. The Patriots lost 3 SBs to teams playing their best at the time and executing a solid brand of complimentary football. I would hardly call their QBs elite, particularly considering who was on the opposing side.

Disagree. He’s just maligned by Cowboys fans who can’t accept Eli was better than Romo. Any QB who beats the Pats in two Super Bowls is elite to me.
The Pats scored 14 and 17 points in those super bowls.....yet Eli won those games? Those are team victories led by the defense.

Manning threw 15 TDs vs 2 INTs collectively in Giants 2007 and 2011 playoff runs. If we doesn't play that well, they don't win those Superbowls.

Eli had some great season but he had several horrible seasons. Maybe just a difference in what people think in terms of elite. To me it is the player who year in and year out play to a high standard. Eli never did that. When he was on yeah damn good but man there are so many season where he played like a dog out there.

I don't disagree, but I was responding to a comment about the super bowls. Takes a QB and supporting cast to win. Eli played well in the playoffs, but also here are the scores of opposing teams during the playoffs of those super bowl runs:

2011:
Atlanta - 2
Green Bay - 20
San Fran - 17
New England - 17

2007:
Tampa Bay - 14
Dallas - 17
Green Bay - 20
New England - 14

Not like Eli had to light it up during the playoffs. You could have swapped him out with probably half the QBs in the league to make that super bowl run.

That is what I'm hoping to see. I felt the same way even to this day about Danny White and Tony Romo, both QB in my view had the talent to help this organization, to a SB but never happened. I think Dak has the talent to help this team to a SB but he and this team need to step up to have a chance at the ring.

That's 21 years of Super Bowls, and those that will likely make the Hall of Fame make up 17 of those wins.
10 of 17 have two last names. So if you don''t have Brady or Manning, you probably were out of luck. Marino was a great QB and didn't make it. I could name many others. Look over the last 50 years not the last 17. Marino was better than Johnson, Dilfer, Rypien, Flacco and others

Dak's QB rating this year 98.1 His career QB rating is 97.4

Dak QBR this year is 45.9. It's the lowest QBR of the 6 seasons he has played so far.

I actually think he is the same QB he has always been. He hasn't really become markedly better OR worse over his career.

Unless Dallas plays to the level of the Giants, this fan isn't afraid of Dak Prescott for this next game.

Scrub QBs rarely if ever win SBs though. They also bring down talented rosters

Good, let alone Elite QBs with the roster Dak has had for years would have most probably won 2 SBs by now..

2 words blow away your theory…. Dan Marino.
Your QB can be the greatest ever, but if the rest of the team let him down, he’s not winning… Likewise if your QB were to let down the greatest roster in NFL history.
In short, it’s a team game and great teams win Super Bowls, not a singular player.
