Dak was literally like top 7/10 in every QB stat out there last year.

Sure, Zeke could still have 100+ yard games if you gave him 30 carries but you’re almost making my point for me in the fact that it would take that many carries to get him there.

Actually since he averaged 4.2 last year it would only take 23-24 carries to get him to 100 yards. And because most of his really long runs used to come late in games after he had bludgeoned the defense into submission, his average probably would go up if he were getting those 4th quarter totes. Last year in the blowout wins those almost all went to Pollard.. this year they've gone mostly to Zeke. But then there haven't been any blowouts yet..

Maybe…or maybe since he knows he’s not going to get that kind of workload he’s flipped it up a notch knowing he’s splitting with Pollard.

I also don’t buy that he’d have a bunch of home runs in the 4th quarter just bc that’s his style. Every other RB in the league isn’t waiting until the 4th to make big plays.

Respect the opinion but we clearly see it differently on Zeke.

Not a bunch but that's just the reality of how it works in the NFL. Not a lot of backs are busting out long runs early in games with any consistency. That's because defenses start every game 1) fresh and 2) laser focused on stopping the run. It's a fact that with great backs the longer runs typically happen later in the game as opposed to sooner.. Yes there will be an occasional defensive bust that might lead to an early house call, but for the most part I think longer runs occur in the second half. There's a reason for that old saying "he gets stronger as the game wears on." We know it's not because the back actually gets stronger.. it's just that the defense gets more worn down and of course DBs start making business decisions once the game is out of reach.

Never said it was Zekes fault, just said he isn’t the dude he used to be. Our OL has been great this year and has exceeded my expectations. Part of that is due to the fact we finally decided to split more carrie’s with Pollard who gives a true big play threat.

Zeke just can’t do that anymore. It’s not my opinion…it’s a statistical fact.
It's not a fact.

I mentioned it...I will ask YOU...how man yards does Emmitt Smith get on 12-15 carries a game?

I ill tell you....about 65-75. And that is being generous because he...like Zeke...gets more yards later in the game...AFTER 15 carries. WHich Moore has abandoned with Zeke.

When...if ever...we see a 20+ carry game....THEN you got to decide his demise.

Until then Moore isn't using him right..and I'd have to agree might as well let him go then.

Who said "a bunch"? We love pollard for HIS one very 20 touches.

I will ask YOU...how many yards does Emmitt Smith get on 12-14 carries per game? You've forgotten all those punishing runs he did late in the game? They may not all have been "home runs"...but you started to feel sorry for the defense.

Maybe you're too young.

Emmitt averaged 19.5 carries per game...which includes the lowly 9 his first year at Arizona. Seven of his years it was well over 20...nearly 25. 14 of his 15 years he was over 15.

If you don't understand power backs need carries to have yards...I don;t know what to tell ya.

Change of pace, fresh....#2 backs are EXPECTED to have obscene explosive yards. Which we have always had. Until we give them #1 job then the flake out.

Chubb has 4 100+ yard games this year and 2 of them he didn’t get 20+ carries. He hasn’t had 25+ carries all season. He also has 7 20+ yard runs.

Sure, volume leads to yards but Chubb is a great back and he doesn’t seem to need 25/30 carries every game.

Between rushing and receiving Pollard has 4 20+ yard plays in quite a few less touches than Zeke.

I’m not sure why you keep bringing up Emmit Smith as it’s 2022 now and the game has completely changed. Also, I’m all for letting Zeke be the hammer in the 4th quarter but it doesn’t really change anything on where I stand on him.

Aint changed as much as you want it to be. Its still football. Teams gave shown you still have to run. We play our best ball when werun. Check our last playoff win.

Of course. I love it when we’re running the ball and we are balanced on offense. Still doesn’t change anything about Zeke and everything I’ve stated about him.

Have you watched Cleveland much though? I swear they get Chubb to the second level untouched 4-5 times a game. It's uncanny.. Whoever their OC and O-line coaches are, we need to hire them because I don't think their line talent is any better than ours.. but geez.. the number of times it's a safety who is the first person to touch Nick Chubb just blows my mind. Chubb has 352 yards BEFORE CONTACT. He's averaging 3.2 yards per carry before contact. That's some damn good line play man.. no two ways about it.

Yea, they have a very solid OL. Ours has been playing great this year too though so wouldn’t just point to that.

Chubb has over 100 more yards after contact than Elliot so that makes a huge difference.

True enough but if you're getting a full yard more (3.2 to 2.2) being touched then you're also getting another stride to build a head of steam which means you're going to run through more tackles and thus get more AFTER contact as well. Not to downplay Chubb at all cause that dude is an absolute beast with the ball under his arm.. He runs super hard and has that deceptive speed that continually fools DBs trying to track him down. But he's not much of a receiving threat and they typically don't ask him to do much in the way of blocking either.. But it wouldn't hurt me to see him in a Cowboy uniform.. until I remember that Moore would have him taking half his runs from shotgun and a standing start.. and I realize that he's much better off where he is.

That’s valid. On a positive for Zeke I think he’s the best pass pro RB I’ve ever seen. Dudes unreal.

Um YES it does.

You are assessing him using a OC who doesn't know how to run an NFL NFCE EAST power run game. Then act like you are some NFL expert.

You said "he needs carries to get the yards" Then I show you Emmit's carries and you say "not the same NFL"

is BS.

IS zeke "slower" than 2016? Yes. Does he hurdle safeties? No. So what? Somehow they guy you think is crappy POS ran away from the the Eagles defense for a TD.

Like I said...if KM decides to give zeke the 20+ carries he got for the years he was NFL rushing CHAMPION (and the 20+ carries Emmitt got when HE was king of RBs)....then we can compare his stats. Until then...we aren't using him right.

Well whatever. Hate as you must. Hate has no bounds and clouds the mind. Carry on.

No, I’m assessing him in todays NFL and comparing him with statistical data against his peers. Chubb is the leading rusher in football and has carried the ball 20+ times twice in 6 games. He is also playing with a backup QB. The whole universe knows the offense runs through Chubb and he’s still playing at an all pro level averaging 5.9 YPC to Zekes 4.1.

I’ve said multiple times I love Zeke as a player and what’s he’s done for this team. Seems like a great dude, great teammate and warrior. So continue to call me a hater if you’d like and compare him to Emmit but Im more of a facts instead of feelings kind of guy.

AS DID WITH EMMITT, miss the point much? HOF smith22 needed volumes to get there most of his YPC yearly averaged were below 4.5 , many 4.2 and handful at 4 or under,,.FACTS,...Zeke is still that type of back, our offense is not our Era is not..

ES22 yr7, 3.7 YPC and many hovered around 4 after that..look at his volume, ES22 and Zeke are very similar backs,. difference is 21 doesn't have the HOF TEAM and coaches surrounding him.

I don't think people understand this type of football anymore. Zeke gets 15 carries all game. Emmitt would have had that on the first drive of the game

It is a "statistical fact"...that we aren't giving Zeke the amount carries it takes to get the yards you demand.

We need both Zeke and Tony to make this happen. Let's try to cheer both of them on as best as we can.

Chubb is with a different team different coaches and different mindset.

Do they run Chubb three times up the clogged middle and then pass 45 times the rest of the game?

So don't come at me like that...not having it.

You blame Zeke for his decreased performance and he is NOT to blame. Hater.
