In case you were wondering, the feeling's mutual.

like I care. you look at my join date and apply even more bias. good for you guys.

and I will go further, I agree with greg, he would have made those tackles because there are times when experience is more important than tangibles.

and greg should have been in on those plays, not spencer.

At the risk of sounding semi-defensive to Greg...

What he said regarding Ware can't be verified or denied by showing who was on the field on what plays. What Greg said can fairly easily be dismissed if he's confronted with those stats; he simply has to say, "I said Ware wanted to come off the field, and tried to hide... not that he actually came off the field or literally hid."

I suppose only Ware can dispute that. And I doubt he will.

That said, I still think it's ridiculous. He would basically be saying that Ware felt that Ellis gave the team more on the field than Ware did. So not only is he labeling Ware as subversive to the coaching staff, but as stupid.

And Four, he most definitely bashed Spencer. He said he would have made the play, and Spencer didn't because he didn't have the experience. His qualification that he loves Anthony and that he's not bashing him means little.

It's like saying, "no offense... but you're ugly."

I don't know, I don't think it is a bash. I think he was being honest and felt he could have made the play.

I really don't see it as a bash, spencer screwed up, greg says he thinks he would have made the play.

had spencer done everything right then fine, he bashed him, but he didn't and greg is just being honest about how he feels.

I don't think that is bashing, sorry.

no I side with reasonable thought, and I understand where greg is coming from.

you all made your minds up before you even heard it, went into it hoping for something to hate the guy for and you ran with it.

I like greg.

I liked TO, but TO did some stuff last season that changed that.

greg didn't change my mind about him, nothing changed.

and really nothing changed for you guys either, you just have another reason to keep hating him.

the operative word there being "keep"

that's bias, there is no argument against it.

a ton of posters here have question marks about spencer, but no one(very few) doubts ellis' play, they hate his mouth. But that doesn't matter in this thread, because it's about hating greg. I gotcha.

that was an affirmation of his skills not a bash, he went out of his way to say he loves spencer and that he isn't bashing him.

you missed that part?

He also says " I'm not crying about this but......"

And then he crys about it. It's kinda like Simon Cowell. "I don't mean to be rude but you were awfully dreadful and completely indulgent"

I think it's safe to say that Greg was exaggerating, his whole point was that Ware wanted him to be on the field because of his experience, they like each other, so that probably is true

or Greg could have made it all up

on the otherhand, he's also saying that Dallas went about trying to win, the wrong way...taking him off the field, when he should have been on it (all Greg's opinion, not mine) I don't agree with that viewpoint, but it is what it is and that's what he said

I don't see the bash Spencer like you guys do, but Ellis once again overvaluing his self-worth

Why isn't Ellis in Oakland, getting ready for camp or looking for a place to live....he still needs to shut up.....

I understand why you guys hate on him, but I am not going to hate a very good player for us that is winding down his career and feels his place on the cowboys was as a leader and that he couldn't be a leader on the bench.

that was the crusp of the interview, least the way I took it.

he is whiney, but that's just how he is, I got used to him through the years and it never really bothered me.

my 6 year old daughter whines worse than greg ever did, maybe I am numb to it.

How could I have missed that part? I mentioned it on the first page:

You sure you didn't hear it?:p: He threw Spencer under the bus on the Baltimore game and then said he didn't mean too that he's a young guy and still learning and that he loved him. He said he couldn't be the leader because the coaches took his snaps away. He really reminds me ego wise of TO where he thinks that he is a great player than can carry the team if they only use him more. He also defended TO. I would think that espn will podcast this so everyone will be able to hear it.

It's stuff like this that makes me wish we would have just drafted Randy Moss over Greg Ellis, take some of the drama that came with Randy Moss and be over with it.

I find Greg Ellis to be a fraud. His gripes against the team in recent years were solely due to money and the fact that Dallas signed him to a fair deal but then Ellis later regretted because Jevon Kearse and Grant Wistrom got monster deals that they simply weren't worth and Ellis felt he should've been overpaid as well. That's all that crap was, but Ellis posed it off like he was the good guy, hard working veteran that just wanted to win.

People talk about Owens being a problem, but I honestly believe this team has more of a chance of going into the postseason and doing something with Ellis being gone than Owens being gone. Teammates in general seemed to love Owens, teammates in general seemed to roll their eyes when they heard Ellis griping. And Owens had been part of teams that had postseason success, Ellis has never won a postseason game. Not to say it's all their credit of fault, but to me it sort of gives you an idea that one player...regardless if you like him or not is a 'winner' and the other whether you like him or not is a 'loser.' I was seriously bummed out by Owens being released, but I feel better now that Ellis has been released because Owens' complaints (if he really had any) were kept private unlike Ellis' complaints. So kicking out one guy while keeping another guy for acting worse would have sent the wrong message. At least the right message had been sent.

The thing about Ware is that he played a great majority of the snaps, particularly on 3rd down. And he's a guy that is beloved by his teammates, coaches, and front office execs BECAUSE OF HIS ATTITUDE. It also helps he's a phenomenal player. Greg Ellis is just a coward and a 'you know what' stirrer and I would like to see Colombo or Flozell put him on his arse.

do you?

why does it bother you so much that I don't agree with how you see things?

you realize that if everyone was just like you the world would be pretty boring.

I said my position on it, and for some reason it's not good enough. You want me to agree with you about it, and I don't.

it's not that big of a deal, I only have to compromise with a few people in life, and none of you are one of them.

I honestly don't have the time to go back and read the entire thread to find out your position on the matter. Mind giving an abridged version on your opinion?
