How could I have missed that part? I mentioned it on the first page:

well actually he prefaced what he said with he is not bashing, and during and after.

that way you put it sounds worse to me, and I take that as bias.

twisting the facts to suit your point. That's how I see that post of yours you quoted.

I don't know, I don't think it is a bash. I think he was being honest and felt he could have made the play.

I really don't see it as a bash, spencer screwed up, greg says he thinks he would have made the play.

had spencer done everything right then fine, he bashed him, but he didn't and greg is just being honest about how he feels.

I don't think that is bashing, sorry.
Maybe he was being honest... but it's still a knock on Spencer. How can you think it's not a knock on Spencer? It may be the truth, who knows??? But If you are ugly, and I call you ugly, it's still an insult. Just because I tell you I love you beforehand, doesn't make it any less insulting.

If Spencer had done everything right, then there would be no need to bring it up, and if he did, then he would be a liar. Instead, he's just pointing out flaws.... publicly. That's the definition of bashing.

I honestly don't have the time to go back and read the entire thread to find out your position on the matter. Mind giving an abridged version on your opinion?

I think greg was being honest, and that he wanted to be on the field, spencer missed a tackle and greg thinks he would have made the tackle.

I don't have a problem with that.

pretty much it.

Four, let me guess... You also had no problem when TO went on with Deion and said "I can't throw it and catch it myself" and "It's not me, it's the system I'm in" because he was just speaking his mind and being honest.

For the record, I used to defend Greg until this offseason (before we cut him). But he got less and less productive even as he got more and more paranoid, delusional, and whiny. That's not bias; that's adjusting your opinion to fit the changing facts.

And the facts are that Ellis' production was no longer worth his delusional whining and *****ing, which can't be a good example for the younger players on the team.

And that caused this thread to go as long as it has? God I hate the off-season.

lol, to be completely honest I don't think calling an ugly person ugly is bashing them.

I mean, they are ugly.

it's a difference in opinion.

ima fat dude, when folks call me fat I don't get all twisted, you know, because I am fat...

What? So it's only a bash (i.e. criticism) if it's a lie?

And I applaud you if you don't take offense when folks call you fat. That's takes a strong person. Probably easier to do the more it happens. But that doesn't mean it's not a criticism.

So which part of honesty are you talking about, or is it selective honesty, cause I don't see much in the ware comment. What part of this line do you (A) believe or (B) makes you feel anything but upset with him?

"It's a disgrace when DeMarcus Ware comes off the field just so I can get in the game and when the coaches tell him to come on the field, he tries to hide so I can play," Ellis said. "And you're telling me we're trying to win the Super Bowl?"

Irvin asked Ellis for clarification: "You said DeMarcus Ware was trying to come off the field so he can get you on the field?"

Ellis: "Yeah."

Irvin: "On his own?"

Ellis: "On his own. He would say, 'G, come on.' And I would tell him, 'No, DeMarcus, go ahead, man. You're coming up on your contract year. Don't mess that stuff up. Go ahead and do you, and we're just going to do what the coaches, or whoever the powers that be, what they want to do.'"

Please enlighten me on what you don't get about people being upset with this comment, especially since it's been shown that Ware missing all of 26 plays during the regular season. I don't hate ellis, but this is nothing but a bold-faced flat out lie. However since you didn't get how others were upset by that comment after reading it, i'm guessing that you never will.
Irishline, do you happen to have a transcription of when he talked about the Baltimore game and Spencer? I would like to get into if he threw Spencer under the bus because I don't see how anyone could deny it. He was even laughing about not being on the field and there was a red dot on who was the problem. Then said that he would be the dot if he were on the field. Then he tried the old I don't mean to throw Anthony under the bus crap. He knew exactly what he was doing.

if it's over the top

like if someone call me morbidly obese that's a bash. (6 ft 250 pounds)

but if they call me fat, cool, I am fat.

a bash has to have malicious intent and be exaggerated.

I don't think that is the case with what greg said.

He also denied he was whining before he started whining. When is it okay to throw someone under the bus?(And when is not okay?)

what does that mean? that greg should be able to keep up with a WR?

I don't know the play you are referring to off hand, but we all know greg looked awkward at best in coverage.

when i see terms like fraud, loser, big baby, and whiner applied to a man
who not only played but starred in the NFL i tend to dismiss those evaluations.
was he all we wanted him to be ? No
do i think he was good for the Cowboys ? Yes

good lord, you can't handle people having a differing view than you to the point I have to be in denial?

and I am a queen now, lovely how you guys resort to name calling and innuendo.

good show.

What's sad about Greg Ellis is that his legacy will always be "the guy the Cowboys screwed up on and took instead of Moss."
