You make a good point, but from my angle it's not about what we can achieve in the regular season. It's, where can we go in the post-season? I'm tired of being the regular season champions. The problems this team shows will do nothing but provide us with a swift exit out of the playoffs.

I almost addressed that very thing in my post, but I will now.

If all you care about is winning the Super Bowl and anything else is a failure, you might as well log off right now and find another hobby. There's probably a 20% chance *at best* that we win the Superbowl. Anyone with any sense of, yes, realism knows that. So the odds are stacked against it happening in any one year. I agree. Talk of firing coaches mid-season and cutting players for single mistakes is over the top. But so is ignoring the fact that the team continually self-destructs and berating anyone who disagrees with the idea that the Cowboys will be just fine. In my opinion, you can't tell much about a team until after week three has been played, but the stupid crap that got the Cowboys beat Sunday night is nothing new. It's more of the same. It's beyond frustrating and I don't understand why we can't discuss it.

As I said I don't think anyone is happy with the play of the team right now and with high expectations that anger is double right now. I fully understand that having real conversation about mistakes or bad calls are perfectly legit it is the over the edge crowd who is beyond reason. Unless you are ranting and carrying on people assume all you want is mediocrity which is far from the truth it is hard to carry on conversation when those going off on constant rants

I remember a bunch of these "realist" posts last year after the Denver game, too. They "knew" that this team was hopeless and we were just playing out the string to a disastrous .500 year at best. And anyone who said otherwise was a brainless, Kool-Aid drinking homer who refused to see all the fatal flaws in this team.

The events that have unfolded on this board over the last couple of days are nothing close to the way this board was lit up last year. It's not even close to being similar. So I ask both of you, why are you blowing things out of proportion? Do we care to go back to the lame realist/homer imaginary sides again? I was part of that and it wasn't much fun. There has been more civil healing on this board in the past couple of days than anything else. Don't let one or two lame fire the coaches or fire the players threads skew the real numbers. You act as though people can't share thoughts. It is a message board IIRC.

You got that right. How often are the Colts predicted to win the SB yet in all the years of Manning being in Indy they have managed 1 SB win. I want the SB as much as anyone it is just not that easy and what I hope for is to have a team who is a true contender at the end of the year who has a shot at the ring. I think Dallas is a contender as are some other talented teams some who like Dallas lost this past weekend.

Who said anything about winning a Super Bowl? I'd like to see this team play in an NFC championship game, and win or lose, look like we belong. When's the last time that happened? I suppose that is too much to ask.

Is it too much to expect being bounced out of the playoffs a bit further in? Maybe being bounced out by losing by a field goal or something? Why do our seasons typically end in the most dramatic fashion with a total team collapse? That's what I'm especially not okay with, but a Superbowl certainly would be nice. But I guess we as good as this team should be, we should be okay with the mental ineptitude holding it back.

But I would respond, in the spirit of your topic, "enough", that as frustrated as you are with the above nincompoopery, that alot of fans are equally grated, saying "enough" to a team that is addled, slovenly, unprepared, happy-go-lucky, and far less than the sum of it's parts should be.
