military can currently discriminate on race?
the disabled, certain issues, health issues, anything that makes you not healthy.

Last time I checked, Big Ben was white, he got six games too..that was reduce to four games..Tom Brady, thee best player in the NFL was suspended for four games, if Zeke's appeal was successful somewhat and his suspension was reduced to four games, which I doubt will happen, do you really want national media and women's groups arguing that deflating footballs and domestic violence are on the same level....The league took a huge hit after the Ray Rice incident, especially when the video came out, it's a different time now folks...

ben was for sexual assualt, a different crime.
if you compare DV to DV, then it is apples to apples.
i would like to see the NFL make this argument in court - oh this is not racial discrimination. look at the punishment for pot, sexual assualt etc. we dont discriminate on race, we just do whatever we want when we feel like it.
Are you implying that the league, or the people running the league are racists?

and if you sign a contract you agree to it. You know what they also agree to, getting as much money as possible.
those affect fighting ability.
i would be quite surprised if the military discriminate based on race.
i take your point about them violating other issues though.
race is not teh end all be all. as i stated EE can appeal on facts alone and technically win, but there is a bigger game being played that all players agree with and do or die EE has to deal with it as well when the dice go against him. Aging players, fringe players, even players who get hurt. There is always someone or something else. Its life. EE is not being displined because hes a "race". which is stupid to say because we are all part of the human race. That aside. hes being wrongly convicted of which everyone agrees with. THat is not our choice tho, Goddel has the gavel and when it falls thats the dice and you have to deal with how they roll up.

After Deflategate-- the power to discipline squarely sits with Goodell. The CBA and now court precedent sides with him. The only battle Zeke can win is in the court of public opinion. If he can prove Tiffany Thompson is a liar and out to ruin his career-- then it would appear that Goodell ignored significant evidence in his ruling and would give him a black-eye with some PR backlash.
With enough pressure-- MAYBE he reduces the suspension-- but I don't think it's likely. The more cantankerous Zeke makes this-- the more likely Goodell will dig his heels in. Certainly Zeke can do some damage to the man's image and legacy as a commish-- but if your goal is to get the suspension reduced-- this looks like pretty tough sledding to me.

That is the federal agency in charge of equal opportunity - employers are not supposed to discriminate based on race ... etc.
Others have made the case that Josh Brown, a white employee, admitted to 20 cases of DV got 1 game.
And other black employees have gotten 10 games or similar for less than 20 cases of DV.
Yet Zeke got 6 games while his accuser has admitted or have been proven to falsify evidence.
There is no way an antitrust protection CBA protects from equal opportunity cases.
Zeke should get less than 1 game - or actually 0 games.
in fact, jerry jones (with EE lawyers involved) should get the other owners' attention by notifying that goodell violated equal opportunity. if they did not stop this, an equal opportunity may be launched.
again EE is not being punished because of his heritage. Why is this such an issue with you.
brady was not an equal opportunity case.
cba allows them to hand out the punishment.
however, if another player were to do the deflating the ball trick, the punishment should be equal to brady's punishment.
i am sure zeke's contract or nfl bylaws have equal opportunity clause in it.
in fact, i would be beyond absolutely shocked if they did not.
and even if they did not, that would be a huge pubic relations nightmare in on itself.
I think 6 games is a bit much, but some of the reactions are over the top. This is one of them.
It's not like Zeke was just minding his own business and Dr. Evil decided to go after him. Zeke has shown poor judgment on multiple occasions and never suffered any consequences. This time he did. I hope his response going forward is more level-headed than some of the reactionary victim stuff I've seen on this board. Otherwise, he'll end up in trouble again.
7 out of 9 DV decisions Goodell has made since the new policy was released have not been for 6 games. It is definitely interesting that he has chosen Zeke to drop the hammer on-- but in truth, under the CBA, he has full jurisdiction to impose ALL discipline. Still don't see Zeke winning a case under equal opportunity. The NFLPA and CBA gave Goodell the power, and we will have to wait until that is negotiated again to end the tyranny lol...
So much so, last year they gave a single game to a player who admitted to beating his wife more than 20 times.
There is no rhyme or reason.
