Just a guess but i think the off the field comment had a bit to do with the Jovan Belcher situation.

And the on the field had to do with being the worst team in the league. It's funny how bad they were despite having one of the best Olines in the league. Which is why I don't understand why they're going with Joeckel.

I was thinking they would draft Jockel or Fisher and slide Albert to LG and put Allen or Asamoah at Center. But I guess I was wrong.

That's a lot of money to spend on a LG. That's Leonard Davis money.

You would think Winston would take less to play in Texas being from Midland and taxes are alot better than most other states.

Maybe the suicide...
Oh, right. I tend not to follow those stories, because they're personal stories, not football stories.

But apparently he thought his on-field play was poor? Hmmm.... Or maybe he was just referring to the Chiefs generally.

its just for one year or you can work out a long term deal, I wouldn't give him a long term LT contract with his back issues. Albert would be a perfect LG for years.

Can't we just give him Free's salary and give Free a complimentary plane ticket?

Probably referring to the team as a whole. He's a stand up guy. I'm sure he takes part of the blame for the Chiefs being the worst team in the league.

On a side note, what the heck are the Chiefs doing? You're telling me they couldn't get some value for Winston? Heck, I would have been fine with the Cowboys giving them a fourth or fifth for Winston.

Regime change, I guess.

Looks like he's been cut twice in a year now. Maybe it's not his ability. Personal matters, perhaps.

Well, QB pretty much trumps a whole lot in the NFL.

Be glad Romo is around.....imagine what Dallas would be without a OL.

yea, probably the suicide (off field) and winning two games (on field).

All in all, it would be a great signing if we could fit him in.

I would love to add him but after franchising Spencer we're tight with the cap. Sucks, he would make so much sense at RT.

sign Romo to an extension and release Free, Vickers, and Connor and we have plenty of money to sign Winston with money left over to still sign others

They need to go ahead and do that then, it'd be a HUGE addition to our line. Winston is one of the better RTs in the league, especially as a run blocker.

The Chiefs have been making some questionable moves lately.

Add me to the list of folks that would take him.

He was released by the Texans as a cap move and then signed by KC. Not sure why KC would be releasing him...they have cap room galore and it's not like they are flush with talent.

His deal with the Chiefs was 4 yrs for 22 million....you could relatively easily work that in if we get Romo's extension done and get rid of the other dead weight like Free, Connor and a few others that wouldn't be noticeable.

Winston and Warmack on the right side would pretty much cement Murray into the pro bow, and most likely a deep playoff run. Romo would finally have an Oline worth throwing behind.
