Escobar is basically Martellus Bennett without the drama.

Hmmm...not so sure about that.

They are both 6'6" or better and play tight end.

Aside from that these two guys could not be more different.
-Martellus is much faster 4.68 versus 4.88...he also jumps better.
-Escobar has elite hands, Martellus average at best.
-Martellus is attention-loving and playful. Escobar quiet and serious
-Martellus is a top-drawer blocker...Escobar not really even asked to block in college...so-so at best.
-Martellus is immature...Escobar grounded.

I never understood the Escobar selection and I made a lot of noise about it when he was drafted.

If you are going to spend such a high pick on a tight end the guy must be elite as a receiver and at least serviceable as a blocker.

Escobar is no blocker and though he has awesome hands and presents a nice big target--he's inherently limited as a receiver because he's so damn slow. (4.86 forty)

Damn him and Witten should race. That would be worst than watching grass grow.
