Dak scored 30 points on offense. He threw two picks but just because the Giants torched them doesn't mean anything. Any team can win any given week. In all sports it's about match ups. Their offense matched up better on our defense. NO COACH expects to win when the defense can't stop the offense that scores almost every time they get the ball. Not only did they score, they used a lot of the clock to do so. If you listened to the game, even the announcers were saying on many plays that there is just no one open. Is that on Dak? I'm not saying Dak played well, cause he didn't. But it's not just his fault on offense. And the defense needs to be held accountable.
You have got to be kidding. The score was 48-16 with 6 minutes left in the game. Dak scored against GB’s prevent defense when the game was no longer in question. Dak sucked. He even said so.

It is pretty dumb to blame the QB for an interception on more or less a hail mary play to try to win the game, but it doesn't stop people from trying.
The drive started at the Giants 48 with 1:50 left. He had plenty of time to lead us to the winning score but threw 4 incompletions before throwing the pick. After missing on the other throws he was down to a Hail Mary. I’ve never pinned the entire loss on him. Our defense didn’t get it done that day. They hardly laid a hand on Eli who kept the chains moving on practically every 3rd down but Romo wasn’t sharp, completing only 50% of his passes after completing almost 65% during the regular season. The bottom line is Romo wasn’t a good big game QB and Dak is running into the same problem.

Romo had some bad breaks in the playoffs
They win 3 of his 4 losses with just a tiny alteration. Played great in both wins
--2006; as QB led his team on game-winning drive. As special teamer, not as QB, he muffed a snap
--2007; led team on game-wining drive, threw what should have been game-winning pass, but Crayton stopped his toute
--2009; played great in blowout of Eagles
--2009; eeww vs Minny
--2014: Lions. Led team on game-wiing drive over leagues 2nd ranked defense....highest tanked D Dallas has ever beaten
--2014: Packers. 140+ QB rating in loss. Led to for go-ahead points IF Dez catch held. Led league in QB rating in playoffs
Exactly. Spot on. I concede he played bad against Minnesota. But, it's ridiculous anyone can compare him and Dak. One has played well overall in the playoffs and lost because of the teams he was on. The other brought the team down with him.

I got news for you most polls have Dak ranked ahead of Romo. Gil Brandt ranked Dak 3rd and Romo 5th on the Cowboys all-time QB list. Dak won more division titles than Romo and led the Cowboys to the playoffs three straight seasons, which is something Romo never did. Dak has a higher winning percentage than Romo and a higher career passer rating. Dak is the better QB.

Ok cool. Don’t change the fact Romo a better actual qb than Dak.

Romo didn't play terribly in any of his playoff games. He did play bad against Minnesota in 2009. Played really good against philly in 2009 to get into the playoffs and really good again to beat Philly the next week. Played good against the Giants in 2007, led a 9 minute drive to take the lead before half and the defense let the Giants score in 43 seconds. Hit Patrick Crayton for a wide open touchdown (no one within 30 yards) and Crayton dropped it. Played really good against Detroit is 2014 and had a 143 rating in the cold against Green bay. Dak has played putrid in the majorty of his playoff games. His play cost the team games. Romo's did not. Not the same at all.
Minnesota was more the offensive line got injured early and fell apart with backups.

Can Dak redeem himself? Based on NFL history, not looking good. The ESPN Article quote is wrong. Warren Moon went longer then Ken Anderson as starter without a Super Bowl. Andy Dalton was only long-term QB I could find who never made it past Wild Card.

Wildcard Round started in 1978. The big difference now vs then is more teams are in WC Round, but fewer teams start in the Divisional Game with a bye week. A lot of the 80's QBs below skipped the WC Round, which helped them get to Conference Championship, but still have 1-1 playoff seasons like Dak.

There isn’t any “facts” that prove Romo was better than Dak. Dak has more division titles, more playoff appearances and a better winning percentage than Romo. Dak has a higher career passer rating and completion percentage. Dak has the franchise record in TDs for a season and the most 400 yard games. He’s on pace to break all of Romo’s passing records. He has wins over Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger and Tom Brady in a playoff game. Good luck finding a single “fact” that shows Romo was better than Dak.
