ESPN: Colombo resigns with the Cowboys

Let's just hope that Flozell can do better at containing speed rushers and Fasano can learn how to pick up a blitz if he's in the backfield.

I agree Flo has to do better stopping outside speed rushers, he will be 2 years removed from his knee injury and hopefully be back to 100%

Hawaii OG/C Samson Satale, this man is incredibly quick, the difference between his 40 time and his short-shuttle, is nearly a minute, .90 seconds, plus he's played OG, C and OT

I like him. But I think we will have to spend a 3rd on him.

we actually had success running to the left-side of the line, for the first time in at least 2 years, yet some want LA back

amazing

Well, Frank Gore didn't have much trouble running to the left last year in San Fran. I wonder if that had anything to do with LA?

Any guesses on where Davis will line up now that we know he's more than likely going to play guard? RG or move Kosier to the right and plug Davis in on the left?

probably, but all I know is that the 2 years of '04 and '05, w/ LA at LG, we sucked running to the left-side, even though we continually tried too

Please tell me "Pro-Bowler" doesn't = better in your book... :laugh2:
Don't even begin to tell me you think Kosier is better than LA. Any Cowboy fan knows that.

Our running backs weren't all that great either.

Pretty solid off-season so far in IMO fellas...

Resigned:
Gurode
Columbo
McBriar
Gramatica

Added:
Leonard Davis
Brad Johnson

Bring on the draft!!!

Great News!!! and even better news is that Rivera is gone!!!! i dont think he was as bad as some people on here claimed but he did need to go!

ok w/ colombo signed..who do we draft?? i know it's easy to say BPA but if someone we really like falls in the mid-teens, do we trade up to get him?? i don't want to get a player that may not start this year and will just contribute on special teams. This team needs a difference maker b/c we are close as they get to a serious run. It's gotta be CB, FS, DT, or WR right..

For 11 games it did. Of course, Gore got to play 2 of those games against a horrible tackling Seattle team

excuses, excuses

so are you saying LA made Frank Gore last year? or maybe he's just a pretty, good back? yeah, I think the latter is more accurate

Perhaps Rivera will retire now. His back is toast.

This at least allows us more flexibility in the draft.

Very good news indeed! The starting OL is set for 2007.

Hopefully Jerry Jones can grab a OT in round two and groom him to take over Flo's spot in 2008. That's if he decides not to re-sign Flo.

Your joking right? .90 is less than a second no where near a minute.....

Assume you being sarcastic re LA being better then Kosier. Anyway, Kosier was actually better then LA at LG im comparison to last year's stat. Now remember I'm talking about the 06 version of LA and now the great LA we all loved for so many years. I still think LA is great (not the player he once was of course) and looking forward to the day Jerry inducts him into Cowboy ROH and then to LA getting into the HOF as a Cowboy.
