I'll pass the wind would cause Bell to fumble. It's a huge problem of his.
10 fumbles with 8 lost isn't that bad in four years, his worst year was 5 fumbles with 5 lost in his best rushing year with Denver. I think Jones rarely fumbled and Bell isn't outrageous in comparison.

Bell 10 fumbles 8 lost
Jones 8 fumbles 6 lost
Barber 6 fumbles 0 lost (3yrs)

I'd rather have Julius Jones.

Just the minor problem of, you know, him not wanting to be here.

Tatum is far from great, granted. But he is a speed threat. And a veteran RB to give us depth. I still think we'll look for a complimentary back to Barber via the draft. Look at it like this. Bell will probably take Thompson's place.

Interesting list. Thanks for doing that.

Instead of breaking it down per year, break it down per carry.

Bell is nothing more than a #3 back on the depth chart well outside of Denver where anyone posting here could rush for 1000 yards. i say just pass

Fumbles weren't the only reason they let him go. Besides being a whiner in the club house, he can not block. He is horrible at blocking. If there is a pass called and they blitz, you might as well give his man a free pass to Romo.
He is not know for catching balls either. Not a strong point for him.

If he is in the game there is a 85% chance he will get the ball and run. D's might as put a 8 man front on the line of scrimmage.

#3 back and cheap ok
anything else NO!

So we just give him 57 touches. Problem solved. ;)

Not bad. And before people start saying we should draft or hit free agency for a big name(if there is one), we're a passing team first. He would be a great fit for that diversity to Barber's game we want.

I really hate hearing that "We are a passing team first". What would make us even better is a strong running game.

That is why I am happy to see MBIII starting.... too many lost yards when Julius was in the game.

Pass Happy teams die quickly just as teams that only have offense going for them and no defense. So we need to develop a more balanced attack that defenses cannot focus on one area of attack.

A good backup is always welcome.

Makes some sense. He allows Dallas to hedge their bets just a little, and he's someone the organization liked a few years ago. He brings a lot of speed, and that threat could be useful. He's got his flaws though, so we'll see...
