Despite the loss, ESPN still has us at the #6 pick. We're behind all the other 4-10 teams. I guess our strength of schedule is too high.

Says a lot about the product being put on the field this year that a 5 win team is currently projected at the 11th overall pick. 6 win teams are projected in the teens.

That is what I saw as well. Five, six. Whatever.

Stay in that range, and all stays constant, there should be options, including QB.

Staying in front of the Niners would be nice, they are a team that will be looking hard at the QBs.

This is a two QB draft if you are taking one in the top 10. The Browns are a threat. So are the Niners.

But if the Browns take a QB, then Jones gets his Manziel.

Ravens are in "tank the season" mode and there's no way Titans or Browns win 2 in a row,,, so the best I think Dallas can do is pick #4.

The Ravens still have the Steelers and Bengals so their SOS is going to go up. Not sure if it will got up enough for Dallas to jump them or not.

We need to lose the last two games and hope the other teams win .

No, we do not need to lose the last two games. Why would you say that? We should never want to lose any games, I do not care if we have not won any games up to now, I would not want to lose the last. That is ridiculous to me, a loser mentality does that kind of stuff

I'm assuming you are looking at this link:

The caveat up at the top:

Below is a look at how ESPN's Football Power Index projects it all to shake out over the next two weeks. Keep in mind that this is not a snapshot of what the draft order would be if the season ended today but a prediction of what it's likely to be when the season actually ends.

So going 5-11 is a winning mentality, but 4-12 is a loser mentality?

Bro, the only difference between 4 wins or 5 wins is draft order, if anybody cant see that I cant help them. Even Jerry gets it, he said he was "lusting after a top draft pick".

If you are getting wood just thinking about a top 5 pick, there is no way in hell you are rooting for a win the next two weeks. Jerry can give lip service to saying the team is going to play hard, but we all know what Jerry is thinking and hoping for.

Still grasping onto that "we should never want to lose any games" stuff, eh?

It made sense a couple of weeks ago.

But these are literally two garbage games that make zero impact on the future.

All it does is make the current regime feel better about themselves, which in of itself, is a little dangerous.

There is nothing to play for.

Pride? Beating a bad Buffalo team matters?

Spoiling the Commanders shot so an equally odious and undeserving team wins the division?

Whatever.

I won't root for a loss, but I will feel just like I felt the other night. Relieved this season is one game closer to ending.

It is just Super Fan tough guy nonsense.

Exactly.........these last two games are basically preseason games for next year. There is absolutely nothing to be gained from winning either of these games when we would go from a top 5 pick to the teens if that happened.

If the team couldn't win games when it mattered, don't win games when it doesn't. Even Jerry is hoping for losses when he said that after the season he might think back about a game and wonder "why did we have to catch that pass?"

If that is not rooting for a loss, I don't know what is.

Great comment and I completely agree.

Look, do I want them to go out there and lay down? No.

But apparently the try hard and lose thing is A-Okay with the powers that be.

I really don't care what they look like at the end of the day anymore.

Them winning either of these two games probably wouldn't have much more of an effect on me than winning an exhibition.

It means exactly that much.
