Do I even need to touch the hypocracy in this post?

I guess all of the excitement for romo to play is more justified right?:bang2:

Says who? you ever think that the offense can't perform with a bad QB at the helm? Saunders' offense needs a QB who can actually throw the ball to succeed.
actually, it's 11 players(which still isn't good). But like always, you have to change facts around to make yourself look better

Once again, you NEVER use any facts for you arguments. Just a little hint, opinions don't make for a good argument. And when you are trying to prove that our future QB is going to be a bust, your going to need a little bit more than just your opinion.

Hostile gave up some nice advice on HH, just put him on the Ignore list.

He has played well enough, so far.

We'll see if it continues against the undefeated Colts.

In all honesty...

what exactly have you seen in Campbell to give you hope? I'm not asking this in sarcasm or anything.. its a straight forward honest question. I haven't seen the Skins play in the pre-season so I haven't seen him play.

Is there a strong reason to believe he will come in and succeed?

Following this pre-season, Cowboy fans had good reason to believe that Romo COULD be successful.

no, he didnt look all that good. But thats to be expected of a guy learning a new offense and has been in the league for 1 year.

Romo on the other hand has been in the league for 3 years, and has been under the same offense the entire time.

A little bit different circumstances.

The skins fans know that campbell might not pan out, but it is still uncharted waters. Anytime you venture into something you don't know, it brings excitement. Campbell can either be a complete bust, or be a perenial pro-bowler. Until he gets onto the field, no one will know(except for maybe HH, who seems to be a wanna be Miss Cleo  )

thats not the point.

Before he even started one game in the NFL, you all were excited about him being the future.

Same thing comes with the skins and campbell.

Get it thru yours, our defense scored 2 tds in 2003. How many games do you think that 2 tds in one season will win you? Where was our #1 defense against the Dolphins and Carolina in the playoffs. Playoffs! Yes, somewhere we haven't been since Q left and despite the fact that we have more overall talent on the team. He's the only thing that is missing.
See, what you can't grasp is that the defense doesn't have to score points to win games for you. In 2003 the Dallas offense plus FG kicker scored 277 points which is a meager 17.3 points per game. Your juggernaut, do no wrong, QB couldn't do any better than that.

Luckily for the 2003 Dallas Cowboys there was a stingy defense on the field that year. Quincy was picked off for 1 TD and fumbled for another and was sacked for a safety. So by your math he gave the other teams 14 points. That means the defense only gave up 246 points on the season. That's an average of 15.3 per game.

In other words a very good defense. Any coach in the NFL will take a D that holds teams under 17. In fact that defense held the opposition below that mark 10 times that year. They won 7 of those 10 great efforts. In the 3 that they lost the vaunted leader you keep touting led us to a total of 7 points. In 3 games. Shut out twice.

Translation, you'll never sell intelligent fans that the 2003 defense didn't carry that team. We're just never going to buy that hogwash.

An improvement over Brunnell wouldnt take much, but thanks anyways.

I don't know why you guys think Campbell is going to be an improvement over Brunell, Brunell took care of the ball, and gave you guys a chance to win, Campbell only has 1 year of experience, and then had to switch to a new O, which he has had a hard time digesting

Campbell is going to be making alot of mistakes, and unlike ROmo, I haven't heard an NFL scout rave, or any of your coaches for that matter, about Campbell

I'll give you that Brunell's time in this league is about done as a starter, and it's time to get the kid some playing time cuz your season is done, but he's not going to be an improvement this soon

Thank you. In all honesty apick, do you know why good Skins fans get labeled as Trolls on this site?

Because they ignore the good posts and go right for the ones they feel insult your team. That just leads to a pissing match and bad stripes.

Know what I mean? If you hate what a guy has to say, block him out.

this is his 6th offensive system to learn in as many years.. that is not easy to do.

that was a big thing that Quincy was never able to overcome

I hope it works out better for JC

then again, I hope it doesn't lol

Defenses aren't supposed to score. That's the offense's job. If the former do, that's an added benefit. The fact is, they kept teams out of the endzone. That is their job. We wouldn't even have gotten to the playoffs without the defense. We were beneficiary's of a last place schedule and solid defense until it was exposed for what it truly was late in the season. Just like Quincy.

I'll be the first to say that I have the utmost respect for Brunell. He seems like such a classy guy, and I actually feel bad for him sometimes.

With that said, his time is over, and it is time to start a new era for the skins. Im not excited about how good I think campbell can, but just excited that this organization finally found it time to make the switch

Kind of what you get with Bledsoe too. Not a bad guy, just not a good QB anymore.

I think it's best for Washington to go with Campbell. Giving up so much to get him, you might as well see what youve got. Gibbs had to make the move. Even though Brunell had good stats, it was a gross mispresentation of his actual play.

I see what youre saying Hostile, but at the same time we feel obligated to defend our boys, ya know? But ive realized all too well what HH's intentions are, and even though it has taken more longer than most....better late then never. I'm a member over at ES too, but i dont consider myself a troll here, haha i hope you guys dont either.
