Why would he address this topic a few days after a huge loss???? And, why in the media?

This man is an Owner of a NFL franchise.......

Quickly, name 5 other owners........you have to think about it dont you?

It's the clown show in Dallas...........and, sadly, it shows up on the field........

17 years........of this.

He needs to just be quiet. I really hope his sons see whats happening..... And when they get their chance , bring in a GM.

hey, even clowns are some form of "entertainment"

My pet peeve about the current arrangement would be there is a month of football left after the regular season ends, and only 12 teams get to participate. By adding four teams, half the teams will go home and half will continue into the playoffs. Half of the NFL cities will get at least one more week of football, and a shot at playing the whole month, and that is good for football, IMO. Plus, it seems like when Jerry talks about stuff like this, it usually happens. Might as well get ready for it.

Even if it changes to 16 teams, though, we still haven't been good enough to have made it the last four years. We'll have to improve even if half the teams get in or we'll still be at home watching. Go Aints.:)

Here's why I hate CRAP like this. You know how many times I was asked today by FREEKIN Seagirl fans about this. How many times did I have to try to defend this garbage. I HATE IT!!!

Half of the teams in the NFL would go to the playoffs and we would still be sitting home watching from the couch with Garrett...............................amazing.

He shouldn''t be wasting his time thinking about this stuff at all or even doing interviews, with the position the team is in. If he really wants to be the general manager he should be working on contracts, talking to coordinators, looking at possible FAs, doing anything to make the team better.

It's about money and people can't help themselves but take shots at the man.

Stupidity and a bit of jealousy.

Really? You think it's about jealousy?
I'm being serious. I don't think dumbing down any system is the way to go. Even if it's about making even MORE money for the NFL.
Don't they make a ton already? You want the NFL to become shameless ****** for money and not give a care about the quality of the game?
Is that jealousy?
Admittedly I haven't read this entire thread so I may have been disputed already and well disputed at that but-
I just don't see the benefit of adding more teams to the playoffs- it should be something strived for and few teams get it, rather than just trying to keep your head above water and hoping you get lucky because they're letting everybody get in the "Tournament".

It's about money. I don't want the season go to 18 games and I don't want to see more teams in the playoffs.

But people in this thread were saying Jerry wanted to expand the playoffs so the Cowboys can get in.

We're on the same page.
No hard feelings I hope.

He was asked a hypothetical, he answered it. He wasn't lobbying for it. You people are either purposely acting stupid.... or

And I am no Jerry apologist.

Seriously, everyone should go to dc.com and listen to the interview. Stop being led around by the nose by hack media pundits who sensationalize.

Anything to get the easily riled masses worked up.

This has been something that's been talked about all season if I remember correctly.

Just attach Jerry's name to it and you got clicks.

Mouth breathers from far and wide cannot resist this type of stuff.

Well, with all due respect, this is "jerry" ...........story is taken out of context.....okay.

But defending Jerry at this point is, misguided...inexcusable, ....etc etc...

This exact topic was discussed the other day nfl radio and pat kirwin stated the idea to increase teams in the playoffs has been proposed every year and i believe he said by kc owner. Small market teams looking at ways to increase revenue.

Small market teams need to get off their butts and try harder if they want to increase revenue. Take the Brown family in Cincy for example. Officially on record as saying he didn't want/need to do anything to increase revenue for the league because Jerry Jones was doing a good enough job on his own.
