Well, he's got a point. That was a dumb comment by Witten. If the Skins get up for these two games a year like it's our Super Bowl, that's 2 more games a year than as does he. So he's either giving us a compliment by saying this or saying that getting fired up for a game is stupid.

No he's simply stating a truth. With little else to look forward to, i.e. no playoff, let alone Super Bowl, what else is there but to get up for the game against a long time rival?

Being one of the top TE in the league say's a lot more about how up Witten is to play this game, it's just that he recognizes there are broader goals than beating the ever-out-of-contention Commanders.

It might be a bit forward of him to say, but tough ****; if these guys can pound each others head in they can take a little trash talk. Or are they even taking it as hard as their fans?

The Cowboys should have no trouble over a terrible Commanders team this weekend.

But we will have trouble. There is no doubt about that in my mind. Even without this statement, which I really wish he's simply kept to himself (this is probably the only thing Witten has done since becoming a Cowboy that annoyed me), we were going to have trouble with the Skins. That is simply a fact. They always, without fail, play us as hard as they possibly can. This was always going to be a tough game and now it's only going to be worse.

Does it freaking matter? Who gives a flying crap about who missed an assignment in a game 3 years ago? I don't care if it was Tony Romo who missed the block. They won, we lost.

Have you ever considered the possibility that Dallas fans are insufferable and that's why most people hate the Cowboys and want them to lose? To shut you guys up? I routinely hear just about every fan in the league giving an honest assessment of their team at my work (Army job, so we're from all over the country) except Cowboy fans.

After every win you see them come in with full regala talking about Superbowl and America's Team and all that jazz. After a loss, the prevailing mantra is "we beat ourselves and the refs were against us". Cowboys fans absolutely refuse to admit they were beat fair and square.

Now, I realize that some (maybe even most) Cowboys fans don't fit under this category (Hostile and Woody's Girl come to mind immediately) but there's a large enough contingent of absolutely idiotic, loud and annoying Cowboys fans in most places that other NFL fans are just plain tired of hearing about it. Remember, it's not the silent majority you notice but the loud minority.

Oh shut up. Seriously. You're so full of crap. Only the Cowboys fans do that? Please. Get over yourself. Every single person can, without fail, talk about how there are fans of other teams, including your beloved Commanders, who they go to school with, work with, are friends with who do all of those exact same things.

Isn't the biggest game of the season, every year, the Superbowl? So if a team isn't likely to make the actual Superbowl then their biggest game, or games, that year (Usually against rivals without a doubt) becomes their Superbowl.

I don't think he should have said it, or anyone should for that matter the week leading into a game, but I don't think it's necassarily wrong in the way it's used. Biggest game, Superbowl, pretty much the same thing in my book.
