Witten stated that Washington's perspective of this particular matchup is higher than either a regular season game or a playoff game. He makes a very transparent assertion that the Commanders will play this game with the intensity indicative of Super Bowl opponents typically facing off in... (wait for it)... the Super Bowl. In my opinion, he is correct.
If this is a true assertion (and I have zero doubt that it isn't), it would be in Dallas' best interest to play at or above the anticipated intensity of Washington's. In today's NFL, even the best of teams can stumble against the worst.
Dallas isn't the best in the league. Washington isn't the worst. Still, there is a definable difference between both teams which cannot be ignored. It is that difference which Witten was referring to and it's inherent importance in the upcoming game.
