15. Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are a powerful zone-blocking team that sometimes struggles when their linemen are matched up one-on-one in space. They do a good job of scheming opponents to keep their linemen in tight, where they can use their bulk and strength to protect the pocket. They gave up a total of 37 sacks last season and posted a respectable 4.1 yards per carry, and the addition of Leonard Davis' bulk should help the running game. The question is whether he will line up at right tackle or right guard. If Davis moves inside to guard, then Marc Colombo will retain the right tackle spot. Center Andre Gurode and guard Kyle Kosier fill out the line and are serviceable but not great players. This is not the most athletic offensive line in the league, but they are massive and powerful.

Seems about right to me. He should have gone into more detail on the sacks. Bledsoe was sacked 16 times in 5.5 games. Romo was sacked 21 times in 10.5 games, which extrapolates to 32 for a full season. Getting rid of Bledsoe would help the worst of offensive lines.

I agree that the Bengals ranking is odd on that list.

I think he started 14 games in 04, but that's just what I remember seeing... He only started 2-3 games in 05...

Frankly I would not be shocked if Flo were to lose his job at some point this season.

Oh, really now? And you "be in the intellegent bidnez"? :laugh2:

Look, sucker...your team was 5 - 11...the Cowboys were 9 - 7 with a playoff loss. How the hell is that not farther along than your team? Because you won a game against us? WOW!

Answer this fireSquawk...out of those two respective records, which one would you have rather had?

You really look foolish sometimes...not all the time, but the majority of the time!
:laugh1:

And previous record is such a great way to say which team is better now huh? In that case, I guess the 05 10-6 Skins with the playoff victory was going to turn out better then the 9-7 Boys that stayed home. Wait, that didn't happen at all!!! But surely the 11-5 Bucs with a playoff loss would be better then the 3-13 Saints. Wait, that didn't happen either. Surely though, the 6-10 Eagles would never do well, right??? Right???

Somebody would have to step big time. I'd be surprised but we will see.

I would. A pro-bowl player, no matter how much of a joke that honor is now, will have to work hard to get replaced by a second year 7th round draft pick or a couple of mid-round rookies...

Hopefully guys like McQuistan are not just sitting on the bench taking up space, if he has been putting in the work and developing his skills why couldn't he? As for the rookies there is no way of telling how quick they will be able to learn and get up to speed at this level we will see how these guys do as we move forward. I do think Flo has to step it up this season especially with outside speed rushers or we may be seeing his replacement sooner rather than later.

McQuistan is no longer a rookie and we will see how much he has developed. I'm not anti-flo I want the best guys out there on the field playing and if that ends up being Flo then great but I don't see his spot cast in stone not based on his play.

Oh, I agree. I would love to see one of our young guys displace Adams but I just think it would be pretty unlikely, at this point. McQuistan, as a second year player, replacing Adams is a pretty tall order but if it happened, I'd be very please with it. The guy has never started one game and I believe has only ever gotten into one game. I think it would be pretty hard for the team to replace Adams with McQuistan at this time but you never know.

Right! Total different teams and times AS OF TODAY!

Your team is really not looking good at all depth wise, you have a 2nd year QB that really did not show much, and it's going to be worse this year (yeah bring Romo up...but he's been here for 4 years prior)...and St. Gibbs looks like warmed over death on game days...he just does not look like he know what the hell is going on.

But, keep the faith, because as of now, and what transpired last year (which you like to bring up) the Cowboys are a better team, period!

Media rank the Cowboys higher than the Stinks in almost every category...yet somehow, you are much more smarter than those that follow all teams?

You could win a game against the Cowboys this year, maybe sweep the Boyz...but you know what? That don't mean crap to Cowboy fans, at all! The Dallas Cowboys are about winning SuperBowls...you Stink fans and your teams players are all about JUST BEATING THE Cowboys! If you can at least do that...you can dream happy dreams at night...

Pretty pathetic....but "you are who you are". And as of now that is 5 - 11..!

Spin it, twirl it, turn it upside down and look...it's all the same...

It's very funny, because up until the past few years when your team won a game or two...you knuckleheads were never to be found over here. But now? Now that you won a game?

Whoopie! Let's all go over to the Cowboy board and make fools of ourselves...

:laugh2: Show me something other than a win against the Cowboys and a 5 - 11 record, then you can start Squawking all you want, but until then...you have nothing...and you deserve it!

Have a nice day.

I expect McQuistan to go out and try and take the job from Flo or at least push Flo into stepping his own game up. I don't think McQuistan goal is just to take up a roster spot on the team or I should say I hope that is not his goal.

Everything I hear about McQ is that he wants to be the starting LT. BUT if the team needs him at LG he will put out 110% there. Frankly, unless the Hotel implodes I do not see McQ being good enough to beat him out. He needs more time and experience- of which he has actually very little. Physical talent he has a lot.

Well, that's it guys, pack it in! 5Stars analysis of rosters can predict the NFL season with enough accuracy that we don't need to play any games.

The NFL draft will actually consist of hackers who can break into 5Stars online Zone account and pose as him to let us know the result of 08

Well, that was pretty weak, considering that's exactely what you are over here doing, huh?

Besides, you know nothing about the draft, because your team DOES NOT USE THE DRAFT!!

:laugh2: And you're in the "intellegent bidnez"...?

I'm predicting records over here??? Okay... You make as much sense as a monkey doing river dance, and equally enjoyable to laugh at.

Show me the post where I said that you were "predicting records" monkey boy? :laugh2:

You said something about how I can predict rosters, and I said that that is what you are over here doing! Of course, you don't see that because comprehension is not well known among RedStink fans.

Man, I hope your boss of the "intellegent bidnez" don't read these posts of yours! Not good for your job evaluation...

Hey, how is Art doing these days? You still shining his shoes?

Two players from the Cowboys' O-line made the pro-bowl when Washington's O-line was easily the better of the two units.

Most times...all little sisters and little brothers look up or try to emulate their big brothers...same thing with these knuckleheads.

It's actually annoying in a fun way, I guess....

Gurode is more than servicable and he's athletic, I believe he'll only improve along with gaining more confidence.
