Yes, Tony Romo wasn't the reason we lost against Seattle and the Giants but what does that have to do with the fact that Tony Romo carries the weight of his legacy, along with Wade Phillips legacy and getting this Franchise deep into the Playoffs again.

There is a lot riding on this game.

Regardless of who was to blame for past failures, when Ed Werder says that Tony Romo has a ton of pressure on him is an extremely accurate assessment.

Well, I agree with all that. The last QB to feel this kind of pressure was Staubach. Until we won in 71 that monkey was all over him. The pressure here is just to win a playoff game. That's until we win one then it will be exactly what Staubach felt. I suppose you could put Aikman in that category but it just doesn't feel the same.

Yeah, Tony Romo is coming in under unique circumstances.

You have the opening of the most expensive stadium in NFL History.

You have the fact that the Cowboys have gone the over a decade without a Playoff Win.

You have a Coach that very well could be coaching for his Job.

I think Tony Romo gets the Playoff Monkey off his back, but just like every good Quarterback that has won a Playoff Game, the next question that will be asked is can you win a Super Bowl.

No, definitely not Cowboys fans. Y'all are the main group with a sense of reality. I really think we are agreeing in general, but not necessarily on all the fine points of the agreement. You agree? :D

All that said, I would love to wish y'all luck tomorrow, but honestly I would rather face a beat up Eagles squad the following week. But, if the Cowboy's do win I feel confident that the Saints will still be there waiting for an NFC championship match up against the Vikes/Cowboys winner.

Yes, I would not want to face the Cowboys right now.

I think Dallas beats Eagles

I think Green Bay beats the Cardinals (the Cards have some serious injuries)

Setting up a matchup between Green Bay and NOLA and man, I don't know who will win that game.

Don't forget that the only decent team that the Packers have faced in several weeks was Pittsburgh and they gave up 36 points that game. The Saints defense is back at full force for the first time in six weeks and will be able to make a difference again. The offense should also be back in full force and should be able to put up a decent number of points against an over-rated GB defense.

How?

Tony Romo is clearly at the stage where he has to prove he can win in the Playoffs.

I failed to see how Tony Romo is different from any good Quarterback in the League.

Drew Brees is at the stage of his career where he has to prove he can win a Super Bowl.

I agree that he is simply at that stage. But, the perception is that he is the "chosen one" playing in the golden palace while adorned in precious jewels with beautiful princesses on each arm. It is, as you mention, different pressure based upon the franchise. And I will add, different based upon other factors. Therefore, fair or unfair, Romo is held to a higher standard and thus, has more to lose.
Odd. There was not any return commentary about Drew Brees. That's quite the omission made by a Saints fan, yes?

Crap, I just spent 20 minutes typing out a great detailed commentary, but accidentally closed the window and lost it all.

Short answer ... Brees has nothing to prove to the community that loves him and Brittany for everything they have done on and off the field. Win, lose or draw he means to much to the city.

Outside of New Orleans you tell me. As mentioned before, I read tons and hear nothing but praise and respect elsewhere.

Who cares what Ed "Terder" says? Time to just win and shut up all these buffoons.......10 hours and 40 minutes to kickoff....not that I'm counting or anything................
