Evaluate Romo's first 2 starts

Romo seems like he has a ton of potential. He certainly out-played Brunell today (not too hard to do).

Hard to really evaluate the guy after two games, but I like his quick release and so far he's shown a ton of scrambling ability.

I certainly don't look forward to facing him in the future.

Humor me here.

So, you're saying if Romo "struggles" next week like he did in the first half today -- throwing nearly every pass perfectly and committing no errors -- that he should be benched?

What exactly is it about his poor performance that frustrates you the most? The lack of sacks? The play making? The vision? The high completion percentage? Lack of turnovers?

And, which of these traits would you need to see again to know "Ah ha, this is the moment he must be benched?"

Oh, and by the way...when Romo is benched with a first-half deficit on the scoreboard, and Bledsoe comes in in the second half and fails to get a victory....who gets credit for this loss in your peculiar W-L formula? Now, I know in your world there is NO way Bledsoe won't win the game. But again, we're just speaking hypothetically here.

dale - you're arguing w/nors.

there is no reasoning available or allowed here.

it's his only flaw, a fatal one I might add

he's not Bledsoe, oh he of the career 75 completion percentage and .500 career winning record

Munchis has to be Nors. No one else could make such ******** comments like this. Besides, Nors was/is a big time Bledslow nuthugger.

Romo performed as I expected him to, he did an amazing job of being poised in the pocket and delivered some accurate strikes to the WR's and TE's!

That bomb to Crayton was a thing of beauty, only if he would have been a little faster and that bomb to T.O. was right on the money. He did however overthrow Witten on a potential TD in the last drive of the game but hey who doesn't overthrow the ball in the pressure of the moment at times.

Any chance we can get an admin to ban Munchichi for being a short bus rider. His logic is worse then most women I know.

And everybody's big fear was that he would go gunslinger when things got tough. He hasn't. He ate a couple of sacks today instead of throwing ints or risky passes.
Now his next step is to learn to throw it out of bounds in those situations instead of taking the sack.

I have no doubt in my mind that it'll come with more snaps.

Overall though I'm very, very impressed with him. He seems to have the confidence of a 10 year veteran and looks like he's out there having fun.

It's nice to see an actual Qb on this team for a change.

Romo has done an outstanding job... in fact if it weren't for him we would have been blown out in this game...something like 35-7

It's already been established that QB is not the problem....both Bledsoe and Romo have made plays but the veteran gave us the best chance considering we are nothing more than a borderline rebuilding team at this point.

Hey Munchis.. I found you an avatar you can use:

I think it fits you perfectly.

If that was Bledsoe out there today he would have patted the ball five times and took the sack on several plays I saw Romo make today with his arm.

He's proven he can make all the throws and has great mobility. Pretty poised too. A promising start to his career.

This team wins by at least 14 points today if Bledsoe would have started.....skins came to play, but their defense was still lackluster overall.

Romo can't throw deep like Bledsoe can, and today he would have been able to exploit it. Drew can pass and RUN for the TD like he already proved this year. (Giants game anyone?). But yet he was benched....

Munchis...Out!
Just like we won in Washington last season with Bledsoe, right?

Oh wait... :bang2:

your misguided allegiance to a has-been QB is pitiable. your too-sudden returns - after ending each post with the hollow, yet promising, exclamation "Munchis... Out!!" - annoying.

let me assist you on your way. ***ignore button***

This is the only stat that matters: 1-2 with Romo starting

Thats funny since Romo has only started 2 games

It's interesting what the prospects of a potentially very good-to-great QB can do to a fan's psyche even in a losing situation.

Despite all the things that went wrong with this game, I was very impressed with Romo.

Even with teams blitzing, he's still making plays.

I'm hoping the Montana, Favre, Marino comparisons hold true - wishful thinking I know.

Now it's time to fix the offensive line and find an impact receiver who can replace MeO after this season.

Oh, and to find a pass rush. :(

Oh, and didn't we have a guy named The Answer who sounds a lot like Munchis? ;)
