No, but I'm sure Ozzie didn't think, "hey, I got Ray Lewis the enforcer on my team, I can go get TO".

Please. Don't even try with this silly argument.

Ozzie knew that the type of locker room he had wouldn't tolerate TO's antics. He would have been an idiot not to recognize that and if you don't think that had something to do with him wanting to acquire TO then you are likely not very smart.

And Owens wouldnt dare pull that garbage he did in Philly with Ray in Baltimore. He owned that locker room. Ask Brian Billick why he's holding a microphone.

Out "manned" again Sultan

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

Since 1996 (same year as our last playoff win): 107-100-1; five playoff appearances; 7 victories, 1 world championship

Dallas' record over that time period: 105-103-0; six playoff appearances; 1 victory

Do you have any other irrelevant points to make?

While I disagree with the one poster about their winning history to be something to laugh at, I do think that there's a freckle of truth to his argument.

Meaning that outside of Baltimore's one Super Bowl, until this season the team really hadn't been that overly successful.

But you know what? I think that speaks even more highly of the types of guys in that locker room. By that I mean they're clearly not just a front-running bunch that becomes about football when it's convenient. It's who they are, whether it breeds wins or not. Sometimes, no matter how good of a locker room you have, you just don't have the talent. And that might have been the case when they trotted Kyle Boller and Troy Smith out there at quarterback. But they've always had the right mix it seems -- guys who truly, truly care about the game and nothing else when in that locker room.

Clearly that is something we can all agree we should be envious of.

Can I please have Ray Lewis next year? If not him, someone just like him, who is all about the business of winning.

Ray should still be doing 3-6 in the slammer for aiding and abetting. I don't want him or anyone from that dirtya.. Ravens team...except maybe their QB (ha)

that argument actually makes alot of sense

with Ray Lewis the leader of the lockerroom, you don't have to worry about TO taking over, because Ray Ray and the majority of the locker will put him in his place

:hammer:

I don't even care if he can still play. All I want is his enthusiasm and leadership.

Also, wouldn't be nice if we also picked up Joey Porter two years ago? We'd have that leader and a helluva pass rusher to compliment Ware too.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda...

Dallas needs a Ray Lewis type leader in the locker room, there's no denying it... I'm praying DeMarcus Ware will step into that role.

Ware is not that guy. Ware doesn't play with that sort of fire. He's just a quiet beast.

Too bad too. If Ware did half the self promoting that others in the league do, he'd be a far more "dominant" player.

He'd get all the press, get all the awards and such. He's just too quiet. Not that it bothers me.

I would like to see Ratliff become the guy. One of DCs audio clips a while back had irvin pretty much telling Ratliff that he was the leader on the D and Jay was reluctant to accept that label.

He should, if others would follow his lead, the D would be fired up for sure.

For some reason I see Ratliff stepping up as a team leader before Ware does. Ware seems 2 much of a quiet guy. But after reading some of Jay's interviews at the end of the season he seems ready to step into that role, as far as the defense goes anyways. But to be the kind of leader that Ray Lewis is? Those are hard to find

they have a culture of winning

don't know what the hell our culture is, only that it's been bred and fostered by Jerry Jones, and it's not working

Two years ago they were 13-3 and lost their first playoff game. (Hmm, familiar?)

Last year they went 5-11 (How about that culture?)

Yet now they have a culture of winning, while our team is terrible and Jerry Jones is all to blame.

This is going to be a long offseason after this joke of a season. But come on man, you have never been this bad. The glass isn't always half empty.

so what kind of culture would you say the Ravens have?

I would say it's built on blue-collar players, dominating defense and winning

yeah, they had a 5-11 season, but it didnt' take 2 more of them, and a HOF coach to finally turn it around

they're in the AFC Championship game with a rookie HC and a QB for crying out loud

Guys playing dominoes and goofing around comes from losing.

Right.

Players were doing this when we were 8-4 and looking at a stretch where we could establish ourselves as the best team in the league.

Every locker room in the NFL has guys goofing off. The ones that goof off and win are playing loose. The ones that goof off and lose aren't focussing enough. Meanwhile, dominoes causes us to go out and give up sacks/fumbles. Got it.

Their passing game was atrocious. They had the defense and the running game. Owens would've helped them contend for another championship, even with those garbage QBs they had.

What good is a wide receiver if the garbage QB can't get it to you?

And Owens wouldnt dare pull that garbage he did in Philly with Ray in Baltimore. He owned that locker room. Ask Brian Billick why he's holding a microphone.

Yeah, I'm sure he wouldn't, seeing that Ray was involved in a shooting where someone died.

Please. You guys have no idea what goes on in NFL locker rooms.
