Heard on Mike & Mike today that the "Lambeau Leap" was grandfathered into the celebration rule.
NFL got some common sense in them..
Why didn't the NFL "grandfather" the horse collar rule so that it wasn't illegal for a Cowboys player to do it? The rule was brought about from Roy Williams tackle on TO, IIRC. I totally get why the horse collar rule is not grandfathered...but that's my point. If the NFL makes a rule that makes something illegal, then why do they make any exception? A rule is a rule, dumb or not. Of course, so much of what the league rules on is dumb.Heard on Mike & Mike today that the "Lambeau Leap" was grandfathered into the celebration rule.
He should not have even been penalized on that play...
Yea I heard that years ago. It was started when the NFL wasn't so offended by a celebration. They expect players to be robots.Heard on Mike & Mike today that the "Lambeau Leap" was grandfathered into the celebration rule.
Very good decision by the NFL but if anyone should be fined it's Terry McAuley who called this stupid penalty.NFL got some common sense in them..
I felt really unathletic watching that because I probably couldn't even jump in to that kettle
Like the signature..They are beautiful.I'd love to see a Cowboy player bring back Butch Johnson's California Quake.
Seriously, you can jump in the stands in Green Bay, causing a safety concern. Why can't you jump in a kettle by yourself?
