FEATURED FA agent thread

I mean he's probably not Ed Reed out there for sure, but he's much better than Woods and instead of Harris, we are looking at two guys coming off serious leg injuries.

So something tells me it's not play that's an issue here.................. it's cost.
I dont think 5 million would have been too much for anyone us, including. It cant be cost, because they are probably going to pay whoever they do bring in close to that. There has to he a good reason why no one would give him more than a 1 year, 5 million dollar deal

Also consider the Vikes let him walk in favor is keeping older Harrison Smith who's on the final year of his deal.

Let’s see what Kazee or Hooker sign for. Bet it’s close to half.

I mean why would you give the Cowboys the benefit of the doubt here?

I agree. I think it will be in the 2.5 to 3.5 million range. The only way either is getting 5 million this year (from us anyway) is if it's a two-year deal where they make up the difference in signing bonus.

The irony of concluding Harris must not be all that good since he only signed for 5 million is interesting against the back drop of trying to praise Urban for being a shrewd DT signing despite him only getting a couple million.

Dont know about them, but Neal will probably be more if he is deciding between two teams. But that again it could be two vet min offers.

Im not giving them the benefit of the doubt. The odds of whoever they sign at S working out arent good at all. Id much rather they make a legitimate move at the position. Given his market, Im guessing Harris wouldn't have been that either. He probably just had his Ken Hamlin 2007 season a couple years ago, and the league isnt that high on him anymore

I watched as much Vikings football as I could stand due to Cousin Jeff being on the team, but honestly I wasn't impressed with Harris. I saw Harrison Smith show up more... he's the Safety I would want from that secondary.

Fans don’t always know. FACT.. Harris was forced to take a 1 yr deal at 5 mil. He also wasn’t all that good last year.

We also got to remember we have his former DC Edwards on our staff, he would of known everything about the player and we still passed, which is telling.

Not if cost was driving the decision. This franchise seemingly can’t stomach paying Ss.

I think they are gun shy after paying Hamlin and then cutting him a yr later. It's up to Quinn to let them know what he needs.

Is this directed at me?

1000%......I was actually thinking the Vikes would cut him in order to sign Harris since he younger and Smith is on the final year of his deal. The fact let Harris walk in favor of Smith certainly make you pause........

All fine if Quinn is driving the recent additions.

In fact I truly HOPE that's the case and Jerry and Stephen aren't throwing darts.

I dont at all want Quinn in the war room though doing a Marinelli dance.

Then why 5 million? Thats pretty telling
Exactly, when we get all bent out of shape, keep in mind that every team other than the team that signs a player said he wasn't worth worth a penny more than he signed.
To me Anthony Harris is a one year player. 2019 was awesome but every other year of his career very poor. Other than 2019 he doesn't make any plays.
