Falcons May Release Vick

Line will form to the left for him once his high priced attorneys get him off.

Unless the witnesses break down on the stands and say they all made it up, I suspect Vick's career is over in the NFL.

Look at the backlash OJ Simpson received despite his "not guilty" verdict.

PETA is well-organized and well-intentioned (as Mike Lupica said and that's a nice way of saying to organization is crazy and fanatical), and they won't let this issue die, especially if Vick gets off.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, peplaw...that does help because I don't know how all that stuff is handled...and what you told me makes good sense...

There's one major difference, OJ wasn't playing anymore. OJ was relying on his past celebrity to get acting gigs.

Ray Lewis was tried for freaking MURDER and once he got off, he went on to continue to be a marquee NFL star. And if the Ravens had released him, then too the line would have formed to the left. Rarely does anyone even talk about that murder trial anymore. I firmly believe if Pac-Man had a few pro-bowls under his belt, he'd be able to play again as well....he just doesn't have the skins on the wall for this.

If you're a singular talent and a team can atleast pretend you weren't guilty, you'll get chance after chance. NFL fans are atleast as fanatical as PETA, and once the smoke clears, Vick would sign and play again and this will all be but a Trivial Pursuit question and/or a taunt used by his division rivals' fans.

Make no mistake, Vick will weather this storm if the NFL lets him and he's found not guilty.

He is unlikely to slip all charges IMO. Yes he's currently not guilty but this thing has mushroomed and taken off and has a life of its own. I don't see him getting off if he's at all involved or even someone says he is and he ain't.

If guilty I see him serving 2-3 yrs of the 6 year sentence with 5-10 years of supervised release assuming he's proven barely in the thing. If he knee deep he'll probably serve the six.

You can see how it may be difficult for him to reenter the league. Mandatory sentences are tough and even though they do supervised release this is an extremely high profile case involving animal rights. Tough row to hoe.

I doubt many teams will be lining up. JMO and I could be easily wrong.

Just for the record, if he's sentenced to 6 years in the federal system, he'll do the full 6 years in prison. They do not parole.

If Vick gets released.. He will have at least 5 teams who will pay him top dollar.

Only if you are speaking in terms of Cigaretts when you say Top Dollar.

;)

The Falcons' owner Blank suppose to hold a press conference today, it will be interesting to see what he has to say.

I wonder if prisons still allow conjugal visits?
Why? Are you planning to have some dogs visit MV if he gets convicted? :D
