Atlanta is going to go into the tank this year and come out with Brian Brohm next year. They should have a relatively high 1st round pick and also have the 2nd they acquired from Hou in the Schaub deal. They will have ammo to move up if need be.

I agree, Petrino has his eyes set on his college QB, (his name escapes me). So they will tank this year without Vick and set themselves up nicely to take him early in the first round.

the Falcons would be well within their rights to do this

Sure they would. I don't see them cutting him right now. They have other options. If he doesn't agree to a leave of absence, they can just suspend him similar to the Keyshawn and T.O. suspensions with Tampa and Philly, respectively. I don't see the need to rush to cut him. They can do that at a later time. A suspension would serve their purposes of separating themselves from him until more comes out in his impending trial.

Joey Harrington is athletic enough to run a spread offense. He really doesn't get sacked that much because he can move around. Of course he sucks at every other facet of the QB position.

He'd look good in metallic blue. :)

No, the Jets or Giants could use him.

And there are plenty of dogs at them N.Y. nightclubs and bars.

(A skeleton walks into a bar and says: "Bartender, gimme a beer. And a mop."

A question for our loved Zone attorneys.

What happens to the Cooperating Witness's in this case? I mean, if they are cooperating and saying all these things about going to Vicks slaughter house or saying that Vick came to their slaughter house for dog fights...even though they are cooperating, will they get convicted also? They participated!

Please explaing how that works? Arn't the CW's just as guilty as OOkie?

What a big step for the Falcons to take. It may be the most logical move, but how painful for the franchise. They don't have a good alternative. Just a set of bad and worse ones.

I gotta say, I thought that the Cowboys had it bad when, after investing the time and energy in Qunicy Carter, Carter went south.

Compared to what the Falcons face, the Cowboys had it easy.

As a QB, his biggest asset is his mobility. At 32, 5 years removed from the game, how mobile might he be?

If he spends that amount of time in the pen, I'd say chances are good he'll maintain his level of mobility...or at least he'd better.

Speaking of the pen.....I remember introducing a friend of my brother-in-law to my Dad at my daughter's wedding reception. Kobe was a big, fun loving guy that you best not cross as he was strong as a bear and wild as a cougar.

Anyhooooo....My Dad looked up at Kobe, and said, "Didn't I see you at Ohio State?"

"I never went to college," Kobe replied.

My Dad shot right back without hesitation "The penitentary you dummy, not the college."

I was very relieved Kobe found that amusing.
