I know the Tiny Bar too, and the owner. That place right by whole foods. Perhaps we should have a beer there. I'd have one, and one only. But I know of that place because a lot of my friend's hang at whole foods and there as well.

If you and Fuzzy Breath hook up...do me a favor and slap him upside his ugly head...!

;)

Yeah, right! Just one beer, while all the other drinks are whiskey and coke!

I'll be interested to see how many of you will post, let's sign him now...

It's the off season, and people are bored to tears without god's greatest game , But Mike Vick doesn't have a place on this football team, not in two lifetimes, He never had the talent other than his superior running ability to anything other than a great college QB.

In the pros, he's been a fish out of water. and frankly, I wouldn't take this guy on my team if he was the very last QB available on earth.

He's a bum, a murderer and I guess by now you can see I love animals, only not this one ( Vick).

Vick had the talent to be the best most dynamic QB that has ever played the game.

It's not his talent, it's his lack of sense that did him in. He also lacked the work ethic to improve on his game. He thought he was good enough.

He had all the talent in the world though.

I said it the day he was drafted, Vick's not a Quarterback, and certainly not a pro quarterback, he's an athlete... fun to watch when he runs, but a disaster as a quarterback. You can't win in the NFL consistantly just massing yards from the QB position through running and a 53% passing percentage completion rate,, just doesn't cut it in the NFL..

he didn't get it done, but I don't doubt for a minute that if you put Peyton Mannings brain in Vicks body he would have changed the game forever.

Vick could throw the ball a mile and he had a pretty quick release.

I can see why scouts with atlanta fell in love with him.

throwing the ball a mile means nothing in the NFL, remember Jeff Goerge, he did that too. Having the smarts is thee most important part of a QB. Making the right reads, a leader, command respect, being able to throw a twenty yard out, the bread and butter throw for an NFL QB. Having a touch pass to drop a pass twenty yards downfield behind a linebacker in front of a safety, Vick doesn't have that at all in his game. Everything he throw is flat with alot of zip, but no touch. He has poor accuracy, he throws to an area, not a spot. Vick is a specialty player, not a position player, good for getting him in an area in space one on one, a running back or some kind of slot receiver, but to far along in his carrer to learn another position..he's not a pro quarterback, plain and simple, just like Vince Young or Tim tebow...they are clear classic College Quarterbacks, not pro quarterbacks

No, he didnt. There are other factors in playing QB other than just running fast (which matters none) and throwing far (game is littered with guys who threw the ball forever, but couldnt do jack on the field)

The fact is he was incredibily inaccurate and had major troubles digesting an offensive scheme, making the right reads and figuring out complex NFL defenses. Then you factor in his lousy work ethic and all his bad habits, and you have the ingredients for a massively overhyped bust.

if he had the work ethic, which is my biggest point, he would have been special, as it was he was pretty special anyways(from a unique dynamic talent perspective).

he had the tools, that's all I am saying, he just never learned how to use them effectively. I do assume he could have learned how, if he wasn't such a bonehead.

Yeah right. Had he been your run of the mill middle class citizen he would still be in the box.

Vick got off very easy. Even in the court of public opinion.

Huh??? What was the public expecting? Life in prison? Public hanging? Castration?

Sorry but people know damn well that getting behind the wheel after drinking is wrong. And guess what? It too is illegal and its something people have known is illegal since they were probably in grade school.

There is no way you can minimize drunk driving just for the sake of trying to further your negative feelings towards Vick. There is just no way. Being drunk doesn't excuse people from anything.

you are missing his point, no one is trying to equal drunk driving to watching dogs maul each other.

He was emphasizing the fact that Vick had plenty of opportunity to recognize the wrong and correct it so no excuses and no calling it a mistake as if he was a gov't employee or something.

I have to agree with dbair, and question on whether he ever could have developed into even a halfway decent QB. But you are right four, we will never know so....

If I am not mistaken, after Leonard Little caused the death of a mother and her child by driving drunk, he has been arrested a few more times for driving under the influence.

ESPN The Magazine did a great piece on the situation. Appearantly the Husband/Father of the victims tends to show up at NFL Games protesting Leonard Little being in the league.

Also, the main problem is that Michael Vick didn't kill any human beings and also, what is important is that he did real time in prison and has filed for bankrupcy protection.

Something a little stiffer than a nice cozy private cell and lame house arrest.

Maybe, strapped to a rape chair, hung from a ceiling and electrocuted, or maybe to competitively fight for his life against another member of his species.

Nothin' serious.

Shoulda sent him to Shawshank. I'm being slightly facetious about this, but I really think Vick got off relatively easy considering the extremely organized nature of his crimes.

in the grand scheme people get a lot less time for a lot worse.

It's all relative.

I just wonder how long you or I would have sat in prison for the same exact charges.

in my honest opinion, in private out of the court of public opinion, I am not sure we wouldn't have gotten off easier.

His punishment was unprecedented, as I understand it, and was meant to send a message.
